Female runner reacts to court victory for trans athletes: ‘Nothing we can do to overcome the biological differences’

Despite the best efforts of four female athletes including Selina Soule, Connecticut remains firm that biological males who identify as female can rightfully compete against biological female student-athletes.

On December 16, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed the Soule v. Connecticut Association of Schools, Inc. case which claimed the current policy allowing transgender athletes to compete alongside biological females puts the women at a decided disadvantage. This, the female students argued, unfairly deprived the girls of athletic honors and opportunities previously afforded to their gender separately from those afforded to male athletes.

Soule joined “Fox & Friends First” on Thursday to react to the news.

“You lost the state championship and the New England championship. When you heard the ACLU say that this was a victory for fairness, equality and inclusion, what did you think?” asked fill-in host Ashley Strohmier.

“I was very hurt by their comments because it is not fair for a girl to be forced to compete against biological males,” Soule responded. “There is nothing that we can do to overcome the biological differences that male have over women but it makes me feel what I went through in high school did not matter.”

“It takes a lot of guts for a young woman to stand up to a situation like this and a lot of people applaud you for it. What are your fellow athletes and friends saying that may have thoughts about this? Are they willing to stand up too or do they want to stay behind and just deal with it?” the host wondered.

“Everyone I have talked to is in agreement with us and they support us. but most are afraid of speaking out. I tell them that need to stand up and speak out. It’s going to be much easier to fight this issue with the more voices we have. I have absolutely no regrets by speaking out,” the female athlete affirmed.
