Fox News host Tucker Carlson called attention Monday night to Forbes firing a long-time writer for writing investigative articles on Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“That contributor, Adam Andrzejewski, was pushed out after a series of pieces exposed Fauci’s high income and the fact that he has the largest retirement in the history of the federal government, a $350,000 a year pension,” Carlson said. “Forbes editors admonished Andrzejewski for his tone on Fauci before canceling his connection to them.”

Andrzejewski appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to share his story, assuring Carlson that he was not misstating what took place.

“Clearly, Forbes editors did not want our oversight of Dr. Fauci’s finances on the website,” he said. “So after eight years, 206 columns — I estimate that I wrote a quarter million words on investigations on the Forbes platform — my column was cancelled.”

“Here’s how it worked. The National Institutes of Health’s six top executives wrote an e-mail to myself and Randle Lane, the top content officer at Forbes. It was couched as a corrections e-mail, but there was no substantial corrections and they quibbled about small things in my column. But that’s the excuse Forbes used to cancel the column.”

Carlson the pushed to clarify if Lane was the one responsible for the decision to drop Andrzejewski.

“Here’s how it went,” Andrzejewski explained. “After that e-mail, within 24 hours I received a phone call from my editor at Forbes that I was barred from publishing on Anthony Fauci any longer. Now keep in mind, our oversight was tip of the spear with Anthony Fauci. A year ago we were the ones that published that he was the most highly compensated federal employee. That column has 900,000 views.”

“We published the fact that his household net worth rivaled $11 million and in 2020, his household earnings, Anthony Fauci and his wife made $1.7 million,” the reporter continued. “Many people don’t know that Anthony Fauci’s wife, Christine Grady, is the chief bioethicist at The National Institutes of health. She makes more than the vice president, north of $235,000. Anthony Fauci makes more than the president at $456,000. So if you take their salaries, tack on the taxpayer paid cost of federal governments at 30 percent, the two Faucis, their house hold income, paid for by taxpayers every year is $900,000.”

Andrzejewski filed a Freedom of Information Act request on Jan. 28, 2021 regarding Fauci’s annual pay and would end up filing a lawsuit through his group OpenTheBooks.com after receiving only redacted documents, Fox News reported.

“This led to the National Institute of Health agreeing to release its extensive documents but only incrementally over the next 14 months due to backed-up requests,” the network added, pointing out that it was reported that Fauci’s salary had been listed at $417,608 — the highest salary listed for any government figure including President Biden — and that his retirement package would b approximately $350,000 per year.

Closing out the segment, Carlson noted that the whole point of journalism is “to tell people what their government, which they pay for, which claims to represent them, is actually doing and… the butt kissers at Forbes” shut Andrzejewski down.

Speaking of  Freedom of Information Act, last month a FOIA request showed Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins shut down scientists who thought COVID-19 leaked from a Wuhan lab, which prompted House Republicans to demand some answers.

“Instead of alerting national security experts to the potential threat that scientists were questioning the origin of the SARS2 virus, you shut down debate about the COVID-19 origin,” read a letter to Fauci and Collins from the ranking member on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), and other Republican committee members.

The GOP lawmakers have given Fauci until the end of February to respond to their questions.
