The first son has snagged a fancy new home for himself and his family, and taxpayers are footing the bill for Secret Service to crash in a nearby house.
Hunter Biden has moved into his fourth home in four years after settling in California, this time putting down roots in a $15,800-per-month rental home in Malibu. Equipped with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the location also offers a stunning, panoramic view of the water from its hilltop location in a gated community.
The listing for the home also notes the beautiful “guest studio with private balcony overlooking the ocean that creates the perfect artistic space,” perfect for a man who fancies himself an artist.
Given the high-profile nature of being the first son, the Secret Service was not far behind in taking up lodging. They managed to snag themselves a $16,000-per-month rental home across the street, complete with a hot tub. Despite the fact that taxpayers will be paying for their housing, the consolation is that their last living situation cost nearly double, at $30,000-per-month. But as the American people find themselves struggling more and more under President Joe Biden’s “Bidenomics” plan, that may be of small comfort.
That being said, Hunter Biden will be paying all of his own bills for the home, which means he better get to painting.
The previous residence of the first son was also more expensive than his current arrangement, at $20,000-per-month. This has led some to speculate that mounting legal costs have forced him to figure out how to tighten his belt and save. Even outlet that could once be relied on appear to be turning on Hunter.
As American Wire reported Friday morning, The Atlantic has finally broken down and admitted that the first son has probably engaged in influence-peddling through his career.
But that may be the president’s fault.
“The biggest problem with Hunter Biden’s access-peddling business may have been that his father, the president, thought it was fine,” reads the subheadline.
“It now seems quite likely that Hunter Biden has violated one or more U.S. laws. And that’s not all the wrong he has done,” wrote author Sarah Chayes. “There is a difference between what is technically illegal and what is wrong. ”

As the 2024 race heats up, the first son’s actions and how the president reacts to them will be under more scrutiny than ever. If the media isn’t willing to run defense for them, things could get ugly in a hurry.
