U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance panned the “fake polls” touted by left-wing media showing Vice President Kamala Harris is leading the election race in key states.
The Ohio Republican and vice presidential nominee spoke with Fox News host Shannon Bream about his confidence in the GOP ticket and former President Donald Trump being in “a very good spot” despite what certain polls are claiming.
“What more can, and should your campaign be doing to reach beyond those boundaries?” Bream asked on “Fox News Sunday.”
“I think we are doing exactly that, Shannon. If you look at what President Trump has been saying at his rallies, what I’ve been doing at my rallies, and my press events, is we have been making a very simple argument,” Vance responded.

“When Donald Trump was President, we had stable prices, we had prosperity, we had higher take-home pay for American workers, and we had peace across the world,” the senator added.
He told Bream that actually speaking with voters rather than relying on polls paints an optimistic picture.
“If you see the numbers that we are seeing, and you actually talk to the American people, I feel extremely confident that we are going to be in the right place come November,” Vance said, pointing to the inaccuracy of some polls.
While The New York Times was reporting Harris is leading in Sunbelt states like Arizona, Nevada, and North Carolina, other polls claimed the Democrat is also ahead of Trump in key battleground states like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

The Washington Post noted that Harris “stands at 49 percent to Trump’s 45 percent among registered voters in a head-to-head matchup,” according to a Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll.
“Given the margin of error in this poll, which tests only national support, Harris’s lead among registered voters is not considered statistically significant,” the paper pointed out.
“Consistently what you have seen in 2016 and 2020 is that the media uses fake polls to drive down Republican turnout and to create dissension and conflict with Republican voters,” Vance told Bream on Sunday.
“The Trump campaign is in a very, very good spot. We are gonna win this race. We just have to run through the finish line,” he continued.
As the Democratic National Convention (DNC) kicks off in Chicago this week, Trump and Vance plan to “barnstorm” key states at the same time, focusing on Harris’s “failed record.”
The Republicans will hold separate events while getting the message across to voters in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia as well as Arizona and Nevada. The pair will “bring their America First message to voters in battleground states across the country, while campaign allies host press conferences during the Democrat National Convention in Chicago,” the campaign website states.
“At the DNC, Kamala Harris will hide behind celebrities because everyday families know that she has been an absolute disaster for our nation, and real Americans are worse off now than four years ago,” Trump Campaign Senior Advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said in a statement.
“Harris has failed to answer media questions for 28 days because she can’t explain away her record of supporting policies that cause inflation, bans on private health insurance, destroying American energy, and higher taxes. As they meet Americans where they are in battleground states across the country, President Trump and Senator Vance will remind voters that under their leadership, we can end inflation, protect our communities from violent criminals, secure the border, and Make America Great Again,” they added.
