When someone walks around with a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
President Biden signed a new executive order on artificial intelligence Monday at the White House requiring new safety assessments, equity and civil rights guidance for the industry.
Vice President Kamala Harris was on hand and made it clear the left has taken the necessary steps to ensure “woke” is engrained into the AI field, declaring the Biden White House has a “duty” to prevent “algorithmic discrimination” — interestingly, Biden responded with a smirk of sorts when she uttered the term — and to ensure “shared equitably” for all.
“I believe we have a moral, ethical and societal duty to make sure that AI is adopted and advanced in a way that protects the public from potential harm and ensure that everyone is able to enjoy its benefits. Since we took office, President Biden and I have worked to uphold that duty,” Harris said from the East Room.

“Before generative AI captured global attention, President Biden and I convened leaders from across our country, from computer scientists to civil rights leaders to legal scholars and business leaders, all to help make sure the benefits of AI are shared equitably and to address predictable threats, such as algorithmic discrimination, data privacy violations, and deep fakes,” Harris said. “We named it the ‘Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights.'”
The vice president stressed that they have had “extensive engagement with the leading AI companies to help ensure the private sector commits to the principles in the blueprint,” which advocates for “proactive equity assessments as part of the system design,” according to Fox News.
The conservative watchdog group American Accountability Foundation warned in August that the administration was actively seeking to use AI to promote woke, progressive ideology with left-wing activists leading the effort, the network reported.
“Under the guise of fighting ‘algorithmic discrimination’ and ‘harmful bias,’ the Biden administration is trying to rig AI to follow the woke left’s rules,” AAF president Tom Jones said at the time.
“Biden is being advised on technology policy, not by scientists, but by racially obsessed social academics and activists. We’re already seen the biggest tech firms in the world, like Google under Eric Schmidt, use their power to push the left’s agenda. This would take the tech/woke alliance to a whole new, truly terrifying level,” Jones added.
Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research, responded in a tweet to warn that critical race theory and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives are key parts of the strategy at play here.
“They want to embed the principles of CRT and DEI into every aspect of AI,” he wrote.

Here’s a sampling of responses to Rufo’s warning from X, beginning with an ominous “Uh oh” from Elon Musk himself:

We knew this was coming. Abusing AI for agendas, the writing was on the wall (now in the code)

They want this because they know any objective version of AI absolutely refutes the Woke agenda.

Thanks Comrade in Chief. That Anti-White AI is really going to make things better

If “equity” is based in logic, an AI would come to that conclusion on its own.
This can only be interpreted as the government knowing there is no intrinsic logical basis for a position it only champions to keep itself empowered.

If they require that AI “advance” equity, they must formally define “equity.” They’ve played with the ambiguity that it may or may not mean equality of outcome. Dare they define it now?
