Liberal troll brags she got Raleigh restaurant to refuse service to conservative moms group: ‘We are coming for you’

It’s bad enough to think federal agents in America may have worked as so-called “agitators” at MAGA events, but when average citizens are posing as conservatives with the sole intent of making their lives miserable, we have leveled up on the dystopian playing field.

Just ask a group of Raleigh, N.C., moms who wanted to gather and celebrate the end of the school year, only to be shut down by an infiltrating troll and a woke Wake County restaurant.

Julie Page made a happy hour reservation at Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing and, on Tuesday, posted the invitation to her Facebook group page without specifying the location of the gathering. The invite was sent directly to the members of her group, who then learned where they’d be meeting.

Thirty people responded to Page’s invitation, according to the Carolina Journal.

It certainly wasn’t something that should have made the news — except the Facebook group to whom the invite was extended was the Wake County Chapter of Moms for Liberty, and one of the responding “members” was a radical progressive liberal who infiltrated the group with the express purpose of disrupting anything the chapter might organize.

Katherine Johnson — a Durham woman — took it upon herself to declare this season a “Summer of Rage for the Triangle area of North Carolina” and has been raising money for her efforts on social media.

After posing as a Moms for Liberty member, Johnson called the Wye Hill and complained to the owners that they were hosting a Moms for Liberty event.

Wye Hill owners Sara Abernethy and Chris Borreson, promptly emailed Page to tell her she and her group were not welcome in their establishment.

“It would negate what we stand for,” the restaurant explained. “We support a safe space for the LGBTQ+, and gender non-conforming communities. Our values are clearly not in alignment with those of Moms4Liberty (sic).”

“While as a company, we don’t align ourselves one way or the other politically, we do align ourselves with human issues at hand,” the email continued. “We do not endorse any organization that engages in, supports, encourages, or promotes intolerance, hate, terrorism, violence, money laundering, or other illegal activities, and we cannot align the Wye Hill brand with Moms4Liberty (sic).”

Johnson bragged about her subterfuge on TikTok.

“Hey, Moms for Liberty of Wake County, I heard y’all had to change venues,” Johnson said. “That’s such a shame. I wonder who would have done something like that.”

“Oh wait!” she exclaimed smugly. “I know exactly who it was. It was me: Katherine for Justice. And I’m not stopping. And I brought a whole lot of friends.”

Johnson went on to boast that her little group “shut down” Moms for Liberty’s “whole conversation.”

“Your conversation and ability to communicate just got a whole lot harder,” she stated.

“By the way,” she added, “there’s more than one imposter among your ranks, so have fun figuring out how many of us there are.”

“Stay vigilant big girl, because we are coming for you,” Johnson warned in another video addressed directly to Page, according to the Carolina Journal.

Kari Donovan, a spokesperson for the Wake County Chapter of Moms for Liberty said the happy hour gathering wasn’t even an official group event. Non-members and men were among the 30 who RSVP’d.

Donovan pointed out that Moms for Liberty is a nonpartisan group that focuses on those issues that are important to parents and fears the Left is escalating “negativity.”

“I do believe it is a mission of the Left to escalate negativity around Moms for Liberty to cause some sort of uprising, maybe to fundraise off of it or discredit their work,” she said. “We do not want any violence or uprisings or damage to small businesses. The Left escalates.”

If the goal of Johnson’s stunt and Wye Hill’s subsequent virtue signal was to shut down Moms for Liberty’s “whole conversation,” the plan may have backfired.

Thanks to Johnson’s ego, all of Twitter is now discussing Moms for Liberty and the fascist tactics that are being used against them.
