Like it never even happened! More hidden gems of Paul Pelosi’s DUI arrest

The quest to obtain a mugshot or body cam footage involving the arrest of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, for driving under the influence continues to hit a brick wall, further suggesting there is a two-tiered justice system in America that favors powerful Democrats — and their families — over regular folks.

As for the body cam footage, the stance taken by law enforcement may be somewhat standard treatment, but the difficulty in obtaining a mug shot reeks.

Fox News Digital submitted a California Public Records Act record request last week but reported this week that the Napa County District Attorney’s Office decided it will not release any dash or body camera footage from Paul Pelosi’s DUI arrest, citing the California Highway Patrol.

“The Public Records Unit (PRU) has determined the Department possesses records responsive to your request,” CHP said. “However, the Napa County District Attorney’s Office has advised the release of records would jeopardize an ongoing investigation. As such, records are being withheld pursuant to Government Code section 6254 (f).”

Speaker Pelosi’s 82-year-old husband was arrested on May 29 when his 2021 Porsche was struck by a motorist driving a Jeep as he attempted to cross a highway. He was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher, according to the Napa County Criminal Justice Network’s public booking report.

No decision has been made on whether he will face criminal charges, and Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley said Thursday that Pelosi agreed to a court date of Aug. 3 at 8:30 a.m. in Napa County Superior Court.

“The case is currently under review to decide what, if any, charges will be filed against Mr. Pelosi,” Haley said. “This is standard protocol for any DUI case that is referred by a law enforcement agency in Napa County.”

The San Francisco Chronicle cited Henry Wofford, public information officer for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, to explain more about the mug shot:

Wofford said the sheriff’s office has received countless requests for body camera footage, Pelosi’s blood alcohol level and mugshot, even though the California Highway Patrol responded to the incident. Napa County is the only county in California where the sheriff’s office does not oversee the jail. It is operated by a jail administrator appointed by the Napa County Board of Supervisors.

A request to the CHP for Pelosi’s booking photos generated an auto-response that said, “Booking photos, or mugshots, are generally exempt from disclosure as law enforcement investigatory records unless previously released to the public. The booking photos for the individual you identify have not been released to the public, and the individual is not currently in custody in Napa County jail.”

Last week, Fox News host Jesse Watters vowed to turn over heaven and earth in his quest to get the mugshot and dash cam footage, as seen here:

Benny Johnson, who tweeted the footage above, added in another tweet: “Peter Navarro gets put in chains and perp-walked into the FBI for *nothing* but we still don’t have Paul Pelosi’s mug shot after he nearly killed someone driving blackout drunk back to Nancy’s mansion? Make it make sense.”

Actor Randy Quaid offered his take on the whole sordid affair here:
