Little girl’s epic Walmart smashing, stomping tantrum leaves adults dumbstruck

A viral video of a little girl throwing a temper tantrum inside a Walmart has sparked a discussion on how one should respond to such a situation.

The video emerged Monday on Twitter/X, where it proceeded to amass millions of views and tens of thousands of comments.

Watch the original video below:

The video begins with the five- or six-year-old child, who’s wearing pink and sporting braids, kicking cans off the shelf and passionately tossing packets of cheese onto the floor.

“Where is her mother, or whoever she’s with?” a nearby customer can then be heard asking.

The girl then moves on to hurling yogurt onto the floor, prompting two women, much to their credit, to try to restrain her.

The young girl eventually breaks free and then starts up again, this time throwing packets of meat onto the floor and stomping on them.

This prompts a woman to start yelling at the child, but she’s soon stopped by another woman who seemingly comes to the child’s defense.

“Don’t touch her, don’t yell at her — she could be the next president,” the white knight defender says.

The little girl meanwhile moves on to smashing glass bottles of juice all over the floor as a crowd gathers around her.

A man then quickly approaches the girl and moves to retrieve some of the bottles from her hand when suddenly the defender returns.

“Don’t you do that to a little girl!” the white knight defender shrieks. “You don’t know what she’s going through.”

The video ends with the white knight defender pleading with the little girl to “calm down.”

Reacting to the video, many critics recalled previous times when a child wouldn’t have been allowed to act a fool like this.

Critics also aimed fire at the white knight defender.

“IDGAF what she is going through, a responsible adult would have restrained this child before she caused any more damages or possible hurt herself or others,” one critic tweeted.

“The white lady who was stopping everybody from stopping the vandal should be considered as an accessory to the crime,” another added.

Critics were also in agreement that the little girl’s parents should be held responsible for all the damage she caused.

As to what prompted the outburst, Kidspot lifestyle editor Leah Goulis speculated to news.com.au that the girl may perhaps be autistic.

“My first thought is that there might be something different about the child, perhaps she has autism or a similar condition that causes her to lash out,” Goulis said. “This might explain why a parent isn’t intervening, as doing so could worsen the situation.”

Either that or she’s just a spoiled rotten child.
