Mary Katherine Ham’s mockery of Dems’ white people only meetings wins the internet

Disproving the adage on imitation and flattery, Mary Katharine Ham decimated the bigotry-blind “Karens for Kamala” with a parody worthy of primetime.

“…we can learn about racism for the right reasons.”

Claiming to be the party of acceptance and tolerance, Democrats had a funny way of showing it as the campaign to promote presumptive presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris promoted race- and gender-based gatherings. After one such “white women for Kamala Harris” video conference went viral for its celebrity-enhanced cringe factor, Ham decidedly roasted one of the speakers and her “gentle parenting” insights.

“Uh oh, SpaghettiO! It seems like we’ve had a little misunderstanding…sounds like some of you have some silly goose thoughts about race-segregated political meetings,” began the commentator in the video captioned, “Gentle parenting people confused by your white-people meetings.”

Bringing her finger up to her lips to mock silencing pushback she went on, “Catch a bubble. We do have special meetings for white women and white men. These people are gathering because they don’t want to — does anybody know? — because they don’t want to…be around people of other races. No, no, no. That is a super sad choice of how to characterize that.”

“They’re gathering together because they don’t want Republicans elected,” she continued. “We have to fight white supremacy, friends, by joining white-only groups of friends. Mm-hmm, I know that sounds ironic, but if we put our listening ears on we can learn about racism for the right reasons.”

“That’s what we’re doing. Got it, got!?” Ham mocked excitedly. “And I’m not gonna let your unkindness mess with other people’s joy in their whites-only meetings.”

As was reported, following the white women event that included activist Megan Rapinoe, actress Connie Britton, and organizer Shannon Watts of Moms Demand Action, a “White Dudes for Harris” gathering was planned that saw the likes of Jeff Bridges, Josh Gad, and Mark Hamill gushing over the coronated candidate.

The focus of Ham’s spoof was “influencer” Arielle Fodor who actually used the line “listening ears” on the call in addition to saying, “BIPOC women have tapped us in as white women…,” and, “As white women, we need to use our privilege to make positive changes.”

In concluding her parody that left commentators celebrating, she added, “The condescension is perfect. No one else can do this. Only Democrats can safely gather in whites-only affinity groups with matching hats. Mm-hmm. There’s no history there. Do you have some big feelings about that? Okay, maybe this will make you feel better. There are, of course, meetings for Democrats of all other races.”

“The meetings are separate but equal,” she closed with a telling expression.
