One year after President Donald Trump launched a multi-agency law enforcement initiative through a presidential memorandum to target violent and street crime in Memphis, resident Dalisia Ballinger shared that peace has returned to her streets and that it’s now safe for her children to go out and play.
The Memphis mother has been an outspoken advocate for the Memphis Safe Task Force following a drive-by shooting that left a bullet lodged inside the walls of her home.
“For once, I’m walking to my mailbox and it’s quiet,” Ballinger told Fox News Digital. “I’m hearing the birds chirp. I’m hearing the birds sing. I’m seeing children play in the middle of the street. I’m seeing fathers playing football.”
Memphis mother on the success of the Memphis Safe Task Force: “Wow! @POTUS really did it. We really have some peace… there’s kids actually outside playing.”

For the record, official data shows overall crime down 36 percent, murders down 36 percent, robberies down 42 percent, and vehicle thefts down 57 percent. There have also been 12,700 arrests, 2,160 illegal firearms seized, and 189 missing children recovered, as noted on X.
“Public safety should not be up for debate,” Ballinger said. “I don’t care if you are a Republican. I don’t care if you are a Democrat.”
“We’ve been begging for years for our local leaders for assistance and for help,” she added. “My children deserve peace, and with the Memphis Safe Task Force being here, we’ve finally been able to get that peace.”
“That era is over,” the White House said of the previous level of crime. “President Trump rejected the excuses, restored law and order, and once again proved that decline is a choice.”
At the same time, don’t expect the agenda-driven media to call attention to the improvement with the midterm elections looming.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
Lowest levels of crime in decades thanks to repubs enforcing the laws again. It’s not complicated, folks. Blue cities can be safe if we get the soft on crime officials out of office. That means vote RED!

It has become imperative. Btw – so happy for you and your family!— Em (@Em56Cee) September 17, 2026
Then why do these people in violent blue cities keep voting for democrats over & over again?

Nonetheless, all the insane Trump haters can’t help themselves as can readily be seen in the comments.
