A pro-Palestinian group is urging voters not to support the Biden/Harris ticket in the upcoming election due to “openly, blatant racism.”
The message was posted by an X account named Nevadans for Palestinian Liberation and referred to an incident in a viral video the group also posted that showed two women being denied entry to a Las Vegas campaign event on Saturday with Vice President Kamala Harris.
On Saturday, January 27th at the @KamalaHarris “Get The Vote Out” event in Las Vegas, two visible members of the Muslim community wearing hijabs were not let in by campaign officials.

The women accused an aide for Harris of being “Islamaphobic” and “racist” in the video clip that was being filmed by one though she was not seen in the footage.
“Both women can be heard in the video asking staff from both the state and county Democratic Party organizations why they had been singled out and were not being allowed to enter the event. When the staff didn’t respond to their questions, the women called staff ‘racist’ and ‘Islamophobic,'” the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

“Is it because of our scarves?” one of the women asked.
“They’re (the campaign staff) disinviting us because we have hijabs on our heads,” the women told passersby.
As you can clearly see in the video, these women were “disinvited” while others were being let in who were in line behind them. When pressed about why they were not allowed in, the Harris officials could not give a legitimate reason. pic.twitter.com/SYmDirbEhD

But according to the Biden-Harris campaign, the women were not being allowed in because of previous disruptive behavior.
“As a policy, the campaign will disinvite individuals known to have disrupted prior events,” the aide said in a statement, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The Council on American Islamic Relations has called on Harris to respond to the claims.
“The American people deserve to know whether these women were profiled and barred from an event featuring Vice President Harris because they were visibly Muslim,” said CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw in a statement on Tuesday. “We encourage Vice President Harris to take appropriate action to address this apparent incident of profiling.”
The Nevadans for Palestinian Liberation account posted a message following the videos.
“For all those voters who were not sure about who to vote for in the upcoming election, please ask yourselves if you are ok with the openly, blatant racism we are seeing here by the Biden/Harris ticket,” the post read.

The group called out campaign staff and posted a statement, including from one of the women.
