NBC’s Kristen Welker excited to report Biden rakes in $10M ‘record haul’ following SOTU

While it remains to be seen whether President Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech will reverse his dismal polling, he is already raking in the dough in the aftermath of Thursday’s angry diatribe.

On Sunday’s edition of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Kristen Welker excitedly announced that the geriatric Democrat has reaped a “record haul” of $10 million in the 24 hours following the speech, bolstering his already massive war chest for the rematch against former President Donald J. Trump.

“NBC News is first to report that Biden’s reelection effort brought in ten million dollars,” Welker told viewers. “In the 24 hours following his State of the Union address, a record haul for his campaign.”

“The Biden team is leaning into its early cash edge against former President Trump, launching a new ad that takes on the issue of his age directly while contrasting his record with Mr. Trump’s.”

Welker was referring to the post-SOTU ad featuring a more sedate president than the nasty old man who railed against Trump, Republicans and decency in general during the speech. A one-minute spot in which the octogenarian makes light of his age and cognitive problems despite his verbal fumbles and physical stumbles.

“The ad is the first in a 30 million blitz that will target key battleground over the next six weeks,” Welker said after airing most of the Biden ad, noting that the campaign will be burning money at an astounding rate to dupe the suckers into believing that the 81-year-old is mentally virile and has the capabilities of a man much younger than his advanced years.

Biden’s haul which was first shared by his campaign with NBC News is notable because the DNC and other Democrat groups raised $42 million for the entire month of January by comparison.

“The money flowed in via approximately 116,000 donations from 113,000 contributors, a senior Biden campaign adviser said. And the total builds on Biden’s early financial advantage over former President Donald Trump,” the outlet reported.

“Ten million dollars in 24 hours. To quote the boss, that’s a BFD,” said Julie Chavez Rodriguez, Biden’s campaign manager in a statement, recalling the then-veep’s foul-mouthed exclamation that Obamacare was a “big f**king deal” back in 2010 when Democrats crammed their bitter pill down the throats of unsuspecting Americans.

“We thank our grassroots supporters who are motivated more than ever to reelect President Biden and Vice President Harris. The President’s State of the Union address reminded so many of our supporters who are fighting for them, and the stakes of this election for our freedoms, our rights, and our democracy,” Chavez Rodriguez added. “We send our condolences to the other guy and his flailing, poor campaign. Turns out attacking women’s rights, cutting taxes for the rich, and attacking American democracy isn’t exactly a winning message.”
