NFL general manager takes a courageous stand in support of women’s and girls sports

Like so many other American institutions, the National Football League has fully embraced the “woke” ideology that serves as the unofficial religion of the modern American left but one team’s general manager is drawing attention for standing up for woman’s sports, which has sadly become a controversial position in today’s insane through-the-looking-glass world.

This week as his team was making preparations for the annual NFL draft, Brad Holmes the general manager of the up-and-coming Detroit Lions, a long downtrodden franchise until his savvy personnel decisions turned the tide, showed up at the pre-draft press conference wearing a shirt with an encouraging message.

During the Q&A session with the press, the 43-year-old exec displayed the black sweatshirt with the team logo and the words “Support Women and Girls in Sports,” a strong statement against those who are engaged in a relentless attack on women and girls who work hard to get their bodies into top shape to compete in their chosen sports only to be cheated out of awards and due recognition by biological males who – unable to excel in the men’s domain – use their superior physical traits to dominate the opposite sex, a completely unfair advantage that has the full backing of corporate America and the federal government, all the way up to the White House.

While the haters will hate and the mob will scream for blood vengeance, Holmes drew accolades from many, including former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines, a 12-time All-American, who has been inundated with venom and threats for her speaking out against men in women’s sports and has reserved some of her strongest criticism for Lia Thomas whom she recently slammed as “an arrogant, cheat who STOLE a national title from a hardworking, deserving woman.”

“Brad Holmes, general manager for the Detroit Lions, sending a message at the pre-draft press conference. ‘I support women and girls in sports,'” Gaines tweeted. “Amazing!!! Thank you”

“Boom! Love it,” tweeted “Outkick” founder and nationally syndicated conservative talk radio host Clay Travis.

Michigan Sports Network’s the “Huge Show” was also down with Holmes’ wardrobe choice.

“Leadership starts at the top,” the show tweeted. “Lions GM Brad Holmes wears a shirt to his press conference in support of Women and Girls in sports. He’s a dad with a daughter.”

“Lions GM Brad Holmes always rocking a hoodie with a message: Today: ‘support Women and Girls in Sports,”” tweeted renowned Michigan sportswriter Dave Birkett.

Notably, the NFL has partnered with Bud Light as the sponsor for this year’s edition of the annual college draft which will be held next week in Kansas City, home of the world-champion Chiefs.

The popular brand has been engulfed by a ferocious backlash from beer drinkers over the disastrous marketing decision to feature transgender TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney in its ads, an in-your-face endorsement of a lifestyle that millions of Americans view with revulsion yet it is forcibly crammed down their throats 24/7 by media, corporations, sports leagues, Hollywood and politicians including President Joe Biden, they responded with boycotts that have hit Anheuser-Busch where it hurts.

In recent years, the NFL has taken a dump on loyal fans with its embrace of homosexuality and the militant message of the Marxist-inspired Black Lives Matter movement, showing that the league is no longer what it was during its glory years before Commissioner Roger Goodell trashed the once-patriotic brand that was built by his predecessors, including the legendary Pete Rozelle whose leadership transformed the league into an American cultural icon.

The Detroit Lions have two picks in the first round of the draft which will run from Thursday through Saturday, giving Holmes a great opportunity to further put his stamp on the team as it returns to playoff contender status.
