Nikki Haley teases 2024 White House run: ‘I’ve never lost an election and I’m not going to start now’

It’s been less than a week since former President Donald J. Trump officially announced his 2024 candidacy for the White House and prospective GOP challengers are already testing the waters for their own potential runs in the hope that the party is prepared to move on from the America first agenda.

One who hasn’t been shy about her political ambitions is former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and on Saturday, she teased the possibility of her own run for the nomination in what with Trump being seen as vulnerable, could be a crowded field of candidates looking to topple the early frontrunner.

During a speech at the Republican Jewish Coalition Annual Leadership Meeting in Las Vegas, Haley, who has been highly critical of Trump, told the cheering crowd that she could soon decide whether to enter the political arena.

“A lot of people have asked if I’m going to run for president now that the midterms are over. I’ll look at it in a serious way and I’ll have more to say soon,” Haley said. “If my family and I decide to continue our life of service, we will put 1,000% into it and we’ll finish it. For now, I’ll say this. I’ve won tough primaries and tough general elections. I’ve been the underdog every single time.”

She added: “When people underestimate me, it’s always fun. But I’ve never lost an election. And I’m not going to start now.”

Also on Saturday, Haley took to Twitter with a series of highly critical posts of Democrats, a sign that she is prepared to go on offense against Joe Biden and his wrecking crew.

“America needs leaders who aren’t afraid to fight for what’s right. We just lived through a disheartening election. It should be a wake-up call for all of us. We have to stop losing and start winning. And we have to choose candidates who can win,” she wrote in a thinly veiled shot at Trump.

“The Democrats did a full-court press to vote early. We sat on our hands. Friends, early and absentee voting are here to stay. We need to play the same game and turn out the maximum number of voters. The left does it. We don’t,” an apparent swipe at current GOP leadership which did noting to counter Democrats’ ballot harvesting operations.

“We have to restore faith in our elections. Someone needs to teach Arizona, Nevada, and California about how to run an election. We deserve to know the results on Election Day – not Thanksgiving Day. And we need even more election integrity – because it works,” she said, criticizing the dragging out of elections for weeks in key western states.

“The biggest threat we face is our fading national pride. There is a national self-loathing that is sweeping across America. It’s worse than any pandemic, by far. …we see it at every level of the Democratic Party – all the way up to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,” Haley said, taking aim at the anti-American rot of Democrats all the way up to the White House.

“China is closer than ever to invading Taiwan. It’s in the process of building a military that rivals our own. And what is our military doing? Taking gender pronoun classes. And what’s Joe Biden doing? He’s trying to negotiate a climate deal with China,” she added in another tweet highly critical of Joe Biden’s failed foreign policy.

With former Vice President Mike Pence looking like he could be about to launch his own campaign, Haley could join him as former Trump administration members seeking to wrest control of the party from their ex-boss.
