Gavin Newsom has been spending A LOT of time in front of the cameras as he presumably eyes the presidential seat, and folks have noticed some peculiar mannerisms.
Newsom and his team have employed some bizarre tactics in recent months, including using Trump mimicry to gain more eyes and ears. The California governor has also been courting top conservatives as a suspected tactic to practice how to fake-relate to the great unwashed known as “MAGA.”
The leftist leader held an amicable interview with the late Charlie Kirk and even claimed his son was a fan of the conservative leader, before walking it back days later.
Throughout the recent transformations, Newsom’s body language and hand gestures have garnered a lot of buzz, with many saying the grandiose flailing is yet another sign of inauthenticity.
In a new video that’s winning the internet, comedian and veteran Vincent Oshana nails a Newsom impersonation, featuring his exaggerated gestures.

I don’t know who these guys are but why is it that I see better comedy being posted on X by regular people (or unknown creatives) than any clip I see from “comedy” shows from traditional mediums funded by $ millions.
Well done.

And in case anyone needs a frame of reference, plenty of X users provided the following recent clip of Newsom: (Tip: it’s even better with the sound off.)

When he fiddles his lip..
Whenever I see News I’m talking, I turn off the volume. It’s much more entertaining. That, and it’s easier to see the lies without the words.— Tiffany (@TLeighR1977) November 13, 2025
There seems to be something to that.
This is so funny. I have watched it about 10 times and it still makes me laugh . Thank you guys . Keep doing what you are doing. You nailed him.

Brilliant.
Serious side note, when someone waves their hands a lot when speaking, it’s because they’re lying.
Bill Gates, and others.
