Planned Parenthood was caught offering testosterone prescriptions to an undercover journalist posing as a confused 16-year-old girl.
An undercover journalist with Live Action, a pro-life nonprofit, contacted 33 Planned Parenthood facilities by phone to see how easy it would be to obtain a prescription for testosterone.

Staff members at seven of the 33 Planned Parenthood facilities offered to prescribe testosterone at the journalist’s first appointment, even if it was a virtual appointment conducted through the Internet.
“If it’s virtual, you’ll still meet with the doctor, and then go over, like, all necessary information,” a staff member from a Minnesota-based Planned Parenthood said. “At the end, they will then be prescribing hormones that would then be prescripted out to, like, your local pharmacy.”
Some facilities even offered a same-day prescription.
“The provider is gonna send the prescription to your pharmacy the same day of your appointment,” a New York Planned Parenthood staffer said.
Staff members at five Planned Parenthood facilities told the journalist that she didn’t need any prior medical documentation, including proof of therapy, to start receiving testosterone therapy.
“I don’t need any like, therapy or anything first — like, you don’t need any record of that?” the journalist asked.
“Not that I know of,” one of the staffers replied.
Live Action President Lila Rose was stunned by these responses. Speaking with Fox News, she said that these calls expose the “chilling reality” that “Planned Parenthood is fast-tracking vulnerable children into irreversible hormone treatments with almost no medical oversight.”
“These dangerous drugs can sterilize, stunt growth, and leave lifelong scars. This is not healthcare. It is child abuse, and it must be stopped,” she added.

Rose also told Fox News that it’s time that Congress defund Planned Parenthood once and for all.
“Planned Parenthood receives more than $700 million in taxpayer dollars every year,” she said. “That is a catastrophe, and it must end. It’s time for Congress and the president to act and defund this abusive corporation of the $700 million they receive from taxpayers every year.”
The results of Live Action’s investigation reinforce what a number of detransitioners have said, which is that it’s remarkably easy to obtain powerful, life-altering hormones like testosterone in a very short time.
One detransitioner, Elle Palmer, recently testified before the Connecticut House about how Planned Parenthood prescribed her testosterone despite her history of sexual abuse, self-harm, and anxiety.
Palmer added that the taxpayer-funded nonprofit never told her that testosterone might cause her to contract pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, early onset osteoporosis, and an increased risk of infertility.

According to Live Action, Palmer is one of many.
“Detransitioner Cat Pattinson said she obtained cross-sex hormones after a mere 30-minute phone call with Planned Parenthood,” the nonprofit reported. “Detransitioner Helena Kerschner said her Planned Parenthood appointment lasted about an hour, and no blood tests were done that day before they prescribed her four times the normal starting dose of testosterone. She never saw a physician.”
“Detransitioner Cristina Hineman’s appointment with Planned Parenthood lasted less than 30 minutes and, too, she walked out with a prescription for testosterone,” the reporting continued.
With all this said, will Planned Parenthood ever actually be defunded? The answer is a possible yes.
Sources within Congress recently told Fox News that House Republicans are discussing ways by which they could finally end the taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, meanwhile, said that congressional Republicans intend to target “big abortion” in the giant budget reconciliation bill they’re putting together.
