Fox News host Tucker Carlson unloaded on the Pentagon this Wednesday after the Department of Defense was cold-busted telling lies about the now-confirmed biological labs in Ukraine.

For weeks, the establishment media have been publishing “fact-checks” attacking anyone who’s dared to question the Pentagon’s unsubstantiated claim that “there are no US-run biolabs in Ukraine,” as PolitiFact put it on Feb. 25th.

But the “fact-checks” all came undone Monday when Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland testified to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that these labs do exist.

During her testimony, committee member Republican Sen. Marco Rubio asked her, “Does Ukraine have chemical or biological weapons?”

According to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald, the question was asked “smugly” because Rubio’s intent had been to once and for all “debunk” the rumors about there being U.S.-run biological laboratories in Ukraine. But stunningly, “for some reason, [Nuland] told a version of the truth.”

“Ukraine has a biological research facilities, which in fact we are now quite concerned Russian troops, Russian forces, may be seeking to gain control of. So we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach,” she said.

Rubio looked “visibly stunned,” according to Greenwald.

Speaking on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” late Wednesday, Carlson also expressed shock over Nuland’s unexpected words of truth.

“Our jaws dropped. … Under oath in an open committee hearing, Toria Nuland just confirmed that the Russian disinformation they’ve been telling us for days is a lie and a conspiracy theory and crazy and immoral to believe is, in fact, totally and completely true,” he said.

“[A] dozen questions instantly jump to mind. What exactly are they doing in these secret Ukrainian bio labs? … Why would we fund something like that in Ukraine, and why didn’t you secure the contents of these bio labs before the Russians arrived as you knew they would? And then why did you go out of your way to lie to the American public about all of this?”

But Rubio chose to ask none of these questions. Instead, he purposefully changed the subject “as soon as he realized the damage she was doing to the U.S. messaging campaign by telling the truth,” according to Greenwald.

He specifically “interrupted her and demanded that she instead affirm that if a biological attack were to occur, everyone should be ‘100 percent sure’ that it was Russia who did it. Grateful for the life raft, Nuland told Rubio he was right.”

“There is no doubt in my mind, senator, and it is classic Russian technique to blame on the other guy what they’re planning to do themselves,” she said.

Carlson was amused.

“So, what you’re saying, Toria Nuland, if, for example, you were funding secret bio labs in Ukraine, but wanted to hide that fact from the people who are paying for it, in whose name you were doing it, then you might lie about it by claiming the Russians were lying about it,” he said.

“In other words, you might mount a disinformation campaign by claiming the other guy was mounting a disinformation campaign. Is that what you’re saying, Toria Nuland? It’s pretty funny.”

In the scenario envisioned by Carlson, the media outlets who automatically regurgitate the Pentagon’s talking points would be the “disinformation agents”:

After the clip from Monday went viral, Carlson invited Rubio onto his program to explain his odd behavior, but the senator apparently refused.

“That invitation remains open. In the meantime, let’s review what little we do know about this,” the Fox News host said.

Using quotes from various Russian officials, he then went on to highlight some other bombshells regarding this situation — namely that said officials have claimed to have found “traces of military biological program under development in Ukraine, financed by the U.S. Defense Ministry,” and have also claimed that the Ukrainians have been researching dangerous pathogens.

He contrasted these remarks with assertions from the Pentagon — which just got caught lying through its teeth about the biolabs in Ukraine — that these claims are “absurd.”

After concluding his monologue, Carlson then spoke with former Democrat presidential candidate and congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.

The former congresswoman slammed the Biden administration for playing the blame game instead of acting like adults.

“They’re categorically been trying to hide this. … And then once they were found out, rather than saying hey, you know what, this … is a global crisis, we’re going to take action immediately … instead what did they do? Her response to Sen. Rubio was to immediately start pointing fingers … it’s the bad guys who are responsible for this,” she said.

“It’s the height of irresponsibility, their response to this, the fact that they’re covering it up, the fact that they aren’t doing really what needs to be done. Because unless this war in Ukraine ends right now, we face a very real certainty that one or more of these labs will be compromised, will be breached, and it won’t just be the people of Ukraine who are impacted.”
