Legendary “Rocky” actor Sylvester Stallone likened President-elect Donald Trump to George Washington at an event Thursday.
Appearing at the America First Policy Institute Gala in Palm Beach, Stallone delivered a speech in which he likened Trump to America’s most famous Founding Father.

“I’m very, very proud to be here,” he began. “I didn’t expect this. When I did ‘Rocky,’ if you remember, the first image was a picture of Jesus that says ‘Resurrection A.C. Club.’ I found a church that had been converted to a boxing ring. So the image pans out from Jesus onto Rocky being hit, and at that moment he was the chosen person, and that’s how I began the journey.”
“Something was going to happen. This man was going to go through a metamorphosis and change lives, just like President Trump. We are in the presence of a really mythical character. I love mythology. And this individual does not exist on this planet. Nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off, so I’m in awe,” he added.
“When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was gonna change the world. Because without him, you could imagine what the world would look like. Guess what? We got the 2nd George Washington,” he concluded.
After he finished speaking, Trump walked on stage, the two men shared a long handshake, and then the president-elect delivered a speech of his own in which he proposed starting his term in office early.
“Things are happening to our country that we didn’t see happening for years,” he began. “Almost every single day we set new records in the stock market.”
“Mr. Speaker,” he added, turning his attention to House Speaker Mike Johnson, “I think it’s important maybe you should pass a bill. You have to start my term from November 5, because the market’s gone through the roof and enthusiasm has doubled.”

As for Stallone, his MAGA conversion comes as quite a shock to many given the apolitical stance he’d maintained for years.
“Stallone had previously stayed mum about his political endorsements throughout the election cycles in 2016, 2020 and this year, having revealed that he didn’t vote in presidential elections the prior two times,” according to Deadline.
However, in 2016 he told Variety magazine that he “love[s]” Trump and considers him to be a “great Dickensian character.” Two years later, he was spotted in the Oval Office as Trump posthumously pardoned former world champion boxer Jack Johnson.

That being said, signs of his potential conversion were always there — like, for instance, when he hired Navy SEALs to train two of his daughters, Sistine and Sophia, prior to their move to the supposed leftist utopia of New York City.
“It was the hardest. It was about six hours we were in those woods,” Sistine, 25, told the New York Post earlier this year. “Sophia and I got our asses whooped by these guys. They were the real deal.”
“And I’m not surprised my dad put us through something like this because our entire life we grew up with him doing these sort of military-esque, self-defense trainings,” she added.
During their childhood, for example, their father had them perform a morning workout every day.
“It was a rigorous routine. Every day at 6 a.m., he would make us eat eggs with ketchup. For some reason, that combination … to bulk up,” Sophia, 27, explained. “But then it was a lot of sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, clean and jerks.”
As for their recent training, which was reportedly filmed for a Paramount+ reality show, it even involved chasing chickens, ironically enough. Recall that in “Rocky II,” Stallone’s character did the same:
