‘Total bullsh*t’: Trump campaign informs media they were ‘duped’ on claim Kamala backs border wall

The Trump campaign is going on the offensive against the media-concocted lie that presidential candidate Kamala Harris is a border hawk.

In a statement to Fox News, Trump’s campaign national press secretary called this new media narrative “preposterous.”

“How much longer will the mainstream media allow Kamala Harris to hide and use staff to speak on her behalf?” Karoline Leavitt said. “It’s DAY 37 of ZERO interviews and Kamala’s anonymous campaign sources are now claiming she supports President Trump’s border wall — this is a preposterous and false claim.”

The narrative emerged Tuesday via the corporate propaganda media rag known as Axios, which claimed Harris now “pledges to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on the wall along the southern border.”

Axios based this claim on completely false remarks Harris made last week at the Democrat National Convention.

“Last year, Joe and I brought together Democrats and conservative Republicans to write the strongest border bill in decades,” she said. “The Border Patrol endorsed it. But Donald Trump believes a border deal would hurt his campaign, so he ordered his allies in Congress to kill the deal.”

“Well, I refuse to play politics with our security, and here is my pledge to you: As president, I will bring back the bipartisan border security bill that he killed, and I will sign it into law. I know … we can live up to our proud heritage as a nation of immigrants and reform our broken immigration system. We can create an earned pathway to citizenship and secure our border,” she added.

Trump refused to endorse the so-called “bipartisan” border legislation because it was a joke of a bill that lacked all the tough border enforcement mechanisms contained in H.R. 2, a Republican border bill that the White House and congressional Democrats chose to dismiss.

Unlike the “bipartisan” bill, H.R. 2 would have actually resolved the border crisis by purging the workforce of criminal aliens, tightening asylum eligibility requirements, building additional border fortifications, and much, much more.

But President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris rejected H.R. 2 precisely because they AREN’T border hawks but rather illegal migration supporters who’ve spent the last four years making it easy beyond belief for criminal aliens to sidle into and settle in the United States.

“The Biden administration is now on track to hit 10 million encounters at America’s borders nationwide well before the end of the fiscal year––showing the border crisis remains at catastrophic levels,” according to a May press release from the House Homeland Security Committee.

But it gets worse.

“[E]ncounters at Southwest border ports of entry in April 2024 grew nearly 100 percent compared to April 2021,” the press release continues. “This is evident through the number of appointments scheduled through the CBP One mass-parole scheme, which skyrocketed to more than 591,000 since January 2023. In addition, more than 434,000 inadmissible aliens have arrived in the U.S. since the official launch of the CHNV mass-parole program, with the majority arriving through Florida, Texas, New York, and California airports—as DHS documents obtained by the Committee via subpoena showed.”

“It is clear that the Biden administration has used unlawful mass-parole programs to shift hundreds of thousands of inadmissible aliens to ports of entry for release into the interior, often with little or no vetting. The end result is the same—a continuing, historic border crisis,” the release concludes.

Harris is of course now trying to distance herself from the Biden administration and its disastrous policies, but the fact remains that she’s been vice president for four years AND the border czar for three.

This raises the question — if she intends to be tougher on the border, why hasn’t she already!?
