Trump launches dual investigations into Biden admin targeting DOJ, censorship

President Donald Trump used executive power to launch two separate investigations into former President Joe Biden’s administration Monday.

The first executive order cracks down on the “censorship cartel” by ensuring that no federal officer, employee, or agent may unconstitutionally abridge the free speech rights of any U.S. citizen.

The order continues by instructing the next attorney general, most likely Pam Bondi, to investigate how the Biden administration infringed on the American people’s free speech rights and then propose “remedial actions” to make up for these violations.

The signing of this order comes months after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg publicly revealed that the Biden administration had tried to force him to not only censor memes and jokes but even truthful content.

“In 2021, senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree,” he wrote in a letter at the time to House Republicans.

“Ultimately, it was our decision whether or not to take content down, and we own our decisions, including COVID-19-related changes we made to our enforcement in the wake of this pressure. I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken,” he added.

Trump’s executive order likewise comes a few short weeks after Zuckerberg publicly vowed that Meta will return to its “roots” and once again embrace “free expression.”

“We’re going to get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies, and restoring free expression on our platforms,” he said in a statement. “More specifically, we’re going to get rid of fact-checkers and replace them with Community Notes similar to X, starting in the U.S.”

Trump’s second executive order targets the weaponization of the Justice Department by former President Biden’s goons.

The order instructs the next attorney general to “review the activities” of the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and more amid signs of political bias.

The order also instructs the next director of national intelligence to similarly “review the activities” of the intelligence agencies.

“The American people have witnessed the previous administration engage in a systematic campaign against its perceived political opponents, weaponizing the legal force of numerous Federal law enforcement agencies and the Intelligence Community against those perceived political opponents in the form of investigations, prosecutions, civil enforcement actions, and other related actions,” the order reads.

“These actions appear oriented more toward inflicting political pain than toward pursuing actual justice or legitimate governmental objectives. Many of these activities appear to be inconsistent with the Constitution and/or the laws of the United States, including those activities directed at parents protesting at school board meetings, Americans who spoke out against the previous administration’s actions, and other Americans who were simply exercising constitutionally protected rights,” it continues.

A perfect example, critics say, is the Biden administration’s decision to imprison 21 peaceful pro-life protesters. In fact, the Thomas More Society just submitted a request last week asking that Trump pardon all 21 activists.

“These peaceful pro-life Americans mistreated by Biden include grandparents, pastors, a Holocaust survivor, and a Catholic priest—all are selfless, sincere patriots,” the request reads.

“While Biden’s prosecutors almost entirely ignored the firebombing and vandalism of hundreds of pro-life churches and pregnancy centers, they viciously pursued pro-life Americans, obtaining convictions against them under the federal ‘FACE Act’ and the Ku Klux Klan Act’s ‘Conspiracy Against Rights’ felony provisions,” it continues.
