Trump unloads on ‘coward’ Bill Barr after Jan 6 testimony airs at Pelosi’s dog and pony show

Former President Donald Trump laid into former Attorney General Bill Barr after his private testimony before Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s politically motivated January 6 select committee was played during Thursday night’s primetime dog and pony show.

In the footage, Barr said he told Trump that claims about the 2020 election being stolen were “bullsh-t,” and that he didn’t want to be “a part of it.”

“I had three discussions with the president that I can recall. One was on Nov. 23, one was on Dec. 1, and one on Dec. 14, and I’ve been through sort of the give and take of those discussions and in that context, I made it clear I did not agree with the idea of saying the election was stolen and putting out this stuff, which I told the president was bullsh-t,” Barr testified.

“And I didn’t want to be a part of it and that’s one of the reasons that went into me deciding to leave when I did,” he added. “I observed, I think it was December 1st, you know, he can’t live in a world where the incumbent administration stays in power based on its view, unsupported by specific evidence that there was fraud in the election.”

Trump was none too pleased to hear the testimony, given his reaction Friday morning on his social media platform Truth Social.

“Bill Barr was a weak and frightened Attorney General who was always being ‘played’ and threatened by the Democrats and was scared stiff of being Impeached,” he wrote. “How do you not get impeached? Do nothing, or say nothing, especially about the obviously RIGGED & STOLEN Election or, to put it another way, THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY! The Democrats hit pay dirt with Barr, he was stupid, ridiculously said there was no problem with the Election, & they left him alone. It worked for him, but not for our Country!”

The former president went on to call Barr a “coward” in a follow-up post.

He wrote, “..Bill Barr was a coward who would not let his U.S. Attorney in Philadelphia, where Election Fraud was rampant, to even think about looking at it (see previously posted letter from U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain). I believe that by their inaction, others were told this also!”

Despite having the opportunity to prove his case in court, Trump was unable to produce irrefutable evidence of widespread election fraud. The fact that Joe Biden received 81 million votes may sound improbable, but without clear evidence to the contrary, it stands as the so-called truth.

Trump has a propensity to eventually be proven right in most allegations that he throws out and he continues to insist the 2020 election was flawed, posting Friday, “I never wavered one bit – follow the facts and proof. The 2020 Presidential Election was Rigged and Stolen…And look at our Country now – not pretty!!!”

U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., one of two Pelosi Republicans on the select committee, played the video of Barr’s remarks before embarking on a petty attempt to get a further dig in at Trump by playing a 17-second clip of his daughter, Ivanka Trump, commenting on Barr’s statement.

“It affected my perspective. I respect Attorney General Barr. So, I accepted what he was saying.” she said.

The former president weighed in on Truth Social to say Ivanka “was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!).”

Interestingly, he also declared, “The so-called ‘Rush on the Capitol’ was not caused by me, it was caused by a Rigged and Stolen Election!”
