Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has quadrupled down on his recent anti-Zionism by now likening Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other proud Zionists to “enemies of Western civilization” like the Nazis.
Appearing on the Shawn Ryan Show this week, he started by talking about the “enemies of Western civilization.”
“There are enemies of Western civilization,” he began. “Who are these people? Are they the Muslims? Are they the Jews? No, they’re not the Muslims, they’re not the Jews, they’re not the blacks, they’re not whatever group you’re blaming.”
“They’re any individual who doesn’t acknowledge the human soul, period. That the rights begin and end with the individual, not the group,” he added.
Tucker Carlson describes Israeli PM Netanyahu as Western civilization’s “main enemy.”
He says Zionism and other forms of tribalism are “an attack on Western civilization.”

Carlson then moved on to talking about attacks on Western civilization.
“An attack on Western civilization looks like this: It’s tribalism, it’s identity politics, it’s DEI, it’s whatever — Zionism,” he said. “It’s any belief system that begins with the understanding that one group is morally superior to other groups.”
But Zionism isn’t that. It’s simply the belief that the Jewish people deserve a homeland of their own.
“We don’t think in terms of groups as Christians or Westerners; we think in terms of the individual,” Carlson continued. “It’s literally that simple, and the reason it’s important to say this out loud is because there are so many interests vying for the mantle of defender of Western civilization.”
“What does it mean to defend the West? You know, Netanyahu, ‘I’m a defender of Western civilization.’ No, you’re its enemy. Of course, you’re literally its main enemy,” he added.
Carlson then explained why he thinks Netanyahu, one of America’s closest allies, is somehow an enemy of Western civilization.
“The reason that Netanyahu is an enemy of Western civilization is because he believes and has said out loud that we’re fighting these people because of how they were born, because of their inherent evil,” he said. “We don’t believe in that. We believe every person is inherently flawed but salvageable because God made every person.”
Netanyahu has indeed spoken up harshly about Hamas, the terrorists who have used their control of the Gaza Strip to not only terrorize Israelis but also the Palestinian people.
Carlson concluded by bringing up the Nazis.
“Why are the Nazis bad? The Nazis are bad because for that exact same reason [that Zionists are good], and so if you want to defend the West, you defend a single proposition, and everything emanates from that proposition,” he said.
“The individual has rights which were given to him by God, period. You don’t have to be a Christian to defend that principle. There are a ton of Muslims and Jews and everybody else who believe that. So it’s not about hate this group, hate that group. All of that sh-t is anti-Western,” he concluded.
Carlson has been courting massive controversy ever since he interviewed notorious anti-Semite and white nationalist Nick Fuentes:

Following the interview, critics on the right excorciated Carlson. Top conservative podcast host Ben Shapiro condemned Carlson as “the most virulent superspreader of vile ideas in America.”
Congressional Republicans, meanwhile, put out statements reminding their fellow Republicans that antisemitism is supposed to be bad.
“There’s already the Democratic Party that is anti-Israel, and is OK with antisemitism,” Sen. Rick Scott told The New York Times. “We’ve got to be very clear we don’t support antisemitism and we do support Israel.”
Sen. Ted Cruz argued that antisemitic voices need to be kicked out of the GOP and ostracized.
“It’s a handful of voices that are spreading this garbage, and it is giving every one of us a time for choosing,” he said. “As for me, I choose to stand with you. I choose to stand with Israel, and I choose to stand with America.”
