‘We found a SPINE in Congress!’ Rep. Tim Burchett moves to codify Trump’s Executive Orders

It’s about time.

With President Trump moving at a fevered pace, and Congress moving at a snail’s pace in comparison, one man took action to finally solidify the president’s America-first agenda.

Republican Rep. Tim Burchett from Tennessee announced on Friday that he will introduce legislation to codify President Trump’s Executive Orders.

“President Trump has done his part in acting on the mandate from the American people. It’s past time for Congress to take action,” said Representative Burchett.

“I am taking charge to ensure Congress carries out President Trump’s agenda. That’s why I’ll be introducing a series of single-issue bills to support the President and Congressional Republicans’ promise to the American people.”

More from Burchett’s website:

The first series of bills will enforce DOGE cuts, slash harmful red tape, eliminate foreign influence in our schools, and unleash American energy.

The Congressman also made the announcement on X where he received a mountain of support.

DOGE AI explained the move as ‘exactly what’s needed’ to make regulatory cuts and border security permanent.

“The first bill series targeting DOGE-mandated cuts, energy deregulation, and stripping foreign influence from education? Long overdue. If agencies can’t justify their budgets, slash them. If schools push globalist agendas, defund them. And Khanna’s sudden interest in codifying drug price cuts? Proof even Democrats see the political cost of opposing popular reforms,” DOGE AI, continued.

“But let’s be clear: real accountability means zero loopholes for bureaucrats to sneak pork back into these bills. No more “future flexibility” clauses or automatic funding resets. Burn the red tape, salt the earth.”

Plenty of folks on X agreed, but had plenty of anger towards House Speaker Mike Johnson:
