‘What fresh hell is this’: Buttigieg’s husband leads children in pledge to LGBTQ+ flag in resurfaced video

A newly resurfaced and now-viral video of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s husband Chasten is setting social media on fire for all the wrong reasons.

The video shows Chasten Buttigieg, sporting a “Not Your Typical Gay Camp” t-shirt, leading a group of children in a pledge of allegiance to the rainbow flag at an Iowa Safe Schools’ Pride Camp back in 2019.

“I pledge my heart to the rainbow of the not-so-typical gay camp,” Buttigieg recites as the kids dutifully echo each word. “One camp, full of pride, indivisible, with affirmation and equal rights for all.”

In a gesture that used to indicate patriotism and pride in the United States of America, the teens covered their hearts with their hands as Buttigieg waved the rainbow flag above their heads. According to Culture Catch, the camp visit culminated in Buttigieg painting makeup on potatoes in celebration of “Drag-tato Day.”

The video clip, which was featured in a 2021 documentary called “Mayor Pete,” released by Amazon Prime, has mortified much of conservative Twitter.

“This is from the Amazon Prime documentary ‘Mayor Pete,'” tweeted Matt Walsh. “They proudly filmed and aired this moment. Nobody noticed until now because nobody watched the documentary.”

Sara Gonzales, host of Blaze Media’s “News and Why It Matters,” stated simply, “Pete Buttigieg’s husband is a groomer.”

“What fresh hell is this,” asked the popular Libs of Tik Tok account. “Nothing to see here… just Pete Buttigieg’s husband grooming kids and mocking the pledge of allegiance.”

“Nothing to see here… just Pete Buttigieg’s husband grooming kids and mocking the pledge of allegiance,” they continued, adding, “And people will still call the sexual agenda a conspiracy theory.”

It’s a “theory” that is becoming more difficult to ignore by the day.

In response to a bill Democrats have disingenuously labeled the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had to remind reporters that the bill only seeks to ban classroom discussions about sex and gender identity with kids in the third grade or below.

“It doesn’t matter what critics say,” DeSantis charged, adding that the bill is for “five-year-olds, six-year-olds, and seven-year-olds.”

But that hasn’t stopped the woke mob from insisting such a ban is somehow homophobic.

“Don’t Say Gay” high-school walkouts were planned in protest and Hollywood celebs chimed in with virtue-signaling tweets.

Actor Mark Hamill bravely showed his solidarity and deeply thoughtful support by copying and pasting the word “gay” multiple times above someone else’s tweet.

The profound statement, made all the more impactful by a rainbow emoji, has been “liked” more than 168,000 times, making many wonder if anyone has actually read the “Parental Rights in Education” bill.

As for Chasten Buttigieg’s camp video, even Virginia’s Republican LGBT group, Log Cabin Republicans, were creeped out.

“Whatever this is, we don’t want it,” the group tweeted. “Hands off, @Chasten.”
