There’s a clear feeling since the election of President-elect Donald J. Trump earlier this month that we are now living in a whole new world.
Add to that the news that MSNBC’s parent company, Comcast, is looking to spin the network off into a new entity, followed by Morning Joe “stars” Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski scurrying down to Mar-a-Lago to kiss Trump’s ring while promising a new approach to covering his presidency, and it’s clear we are not in Kansas anymore.
But no one could have predicted Whoopi Goldberg would suddenly be singing a new tune.
On Monday’s episode of The View, Whoopi admonished cohost and fellow harpy Ana Navarro, who pushed back when she said they would take a “wait and see” approach to Trump.
NEW: Whoopi Goldberg unexpectedly SHUTS DOWN co-host’s attempt to fearmonger about Trump before he even takes office.
ANA NAVARRO: “I’m not going to wait and see. I mean, this guy has told us he’s a retribution. He’s going to be a dictator.”

“I’m not going to wait and see. I mean, this guy has told us he’s doing retribution. He’s going to be a dictator,” Navarro countered.
“There’s nothing to be done until you know what you’re fighting. Pissing in the wind doesn’t help—you just get a wet face,” Whoopi fired back.
“What I’m saying is I have no false expectations that at 78, he’s going to, all of a sudden, turn into another human being. I spent weeks telling people that he was apocalyptic. I’m not going to change,” Navarro said.
The irony in Whoopi’s reply was clearly lost on her when she said, “You lose credibility in many different ways. If you don’t know what you’re talking about and you accuse him of something, then they’re going to blow it back. That’s why I say we need to wait and see.”
Social media users weighed in to suggest that Whoopi is likely afraid The View may be canceled in the new political environment created when the American people gave Trump a mandate at the ballot box.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Elon Musk’s free speech platform X:
I think you’re right. She likes money more than she hates Trump.

What they don’t seem to understand, is that we don’t want Trump to be a different person.
We voted for him. And what he can and will get done for the betterment of this country and everyone in it.
It is never about Trump himself, it is about the movement. And after he is gone,…

They’re terrified of being cancelled.

This was Whoopi’s best line:
“You lose credibility in many different ways. If you don’t know what you’re talking about”She obviously doesn’t realize that she does this all the time haha.

I did not have Whoopie Goldberg as ‘Voice of Reason’ on my Bingo Card. Doubt many folks did.
The View should just be cancelled, nothing but an echo chamber of Angry Liberal Women who hate anyone with a different ‘View’.
