Whoopi walks off The View after fiery debate over Miranda Lambert drama

The harpies on ABC’s “The View” were discussing country music singer Miranda Lambert stopping her show in Las Vegas over the weekend after getting irritated by a group of fans taking selfies and cohost Whoopi Goldberg punctuated the segment when she walked off the set.

Lambert caught a lot of flak online for scolding the concertgoers and essentially telling them to sit down, and Whoopi weighed in on the country music star’s side.

“If they paid money for the tickets they came to see her so if she’s singing at least a little respect,” she said, going on to suggest the fans were treating Lambert like a “lounge singer.”

Cohost Sunny Hostin pointed out the cost of the tickets before saying, “I’m going to take as many selfies as I want if I paid $757 for tickets.”

The audience was clearly in agreement, but not Whoopi.

“You know what? If you’re going to spend $750 to come to my concert, then give me the respect of watching me while I do my thing. Or don’t come,” she said.

Hostin countered that she may want to “replay” the moment later and use her phone to record the memory.

It was at this point that Whoopi rose up from her seat and began walking away from the table, telling Hostin: “Turn on the television, girl.”

Joy Behar asked Whoopi where she was going and she fired back over her shoulder, “I’m leaving y’all!”

But she didn’t leave the set entirely. Instead, she walked over to the first row of seats in the studio audience — to take a selfie with an audience member!

“I want to take a picture with this marvelous woman, who is 91. So, we’re going to do a selfie. Just me and you,” Goldberg said as she approached the woman. “Will you push that button? We’ll be right back.”
