Wild brawl sends two men flying down Grand Central Station escalator

New York City, like a number of other Democrat-run urban areas, is dealing with rampant crime that can almost certainly be tracked back to pro-criminal justice reforms backed by the party’s progressive base, and nowhere is that crime more noticeable than in public transportation.

For the Big Apple, that is generally the subway system where another victim was pushed onto the train tracks at a station in the Bronx on Saturday — bystanders helped him off the tracks before he could be struck by an approaching train. On Monday, a man was killed when he was struck by an oncoming subway train in Queens during a fight on the platform.

But Grand Central Station had its share of drama recently, as seen in a spirited brawl on the station’s infamous escalator system.

Footage shows two men fighting, even as they tumbled down the metal steps moving in the opposite direction — upon reaching the bottom, they are seen still going at it. Typical of New Yorkers, most on the escalator just went about their business taking care to avoid the contest.

A man and woman are seen in the footage trying to intervene as the combatants are locked up at the bottom of the escalator — the NYPD said that a 37-year-old Long Island man was arrested and charged with assault following the fight.

The aforementioned person being shoved onto the tracks in the Bronx can be seen here:

Turns out, brawling on the Grand Central escalator is a thing, as seen in footage shared online in March of this year — no word on if it’s the same two combatants back on the steps for a rematch.
