Young German-Israeli festival attendee confirmed dead: ‘Sadistic animals chopped off her head’

A young German-Israeli woman has been confirmed dead after Hamas terrorists kidnapped her during a music festival and then paraded her in her underwear on the back of a truck with her legs broken.

A piece of Shani Louk’s skull has been found by IDF soldiers and it is being reported that the German tattoo artist was beheaded after she was tortured and raped by Hamas militants. The base of the skull matched her DNA. Israeli President Yitzchak Herzog made the announcement of her death over the weekend.

“I am truly sorry to report that we have now received news that Shani Nicole Louk has been confirmed murdered and dead. Her skull has been found,” Herzog told the German newspaper Bild in an interview.

“This means that these barbaric, sadistic animals simply chopped off her head as they attacked, tortured, and killed Israelis. It is a great tragedy and I extend my deepest condolences to her family,” he angrily added.

The German-Israeli was spat upon by jeering crowds as she was paraded in the back of a pickup truck, her legs broken and twisted around her as she lay face down in her underwear. It is unknown if she was still alive at that point.

It is believed that Louk’s boyfriend was also taken captive by Hamas. Louk’s family begged the German government to do something and try and rescue her and others but they allegedly did nothing.

Louk was 22 years old and was one of those kidnapped on October 7 from the festival near Kibbutz Reim. The Daily Mail is reporting that at least 239 hostages were taken that day and over 1,400 people were slaughtered during the dawn raid.

According to news outlets, Hamas led Louk’s mother to believe she was still alive for over three weeks. The family believes that she was shot in the head on the day of the festival. The facts surrounding her death are unclear at this point.

“Unfortunately we got the news yesterday that my daughter is no longer alive,” Louk’s mother said on German broadcaster RTL. Her sister Adi wrote on Instagram that she “announced with great sadness the death of my sister.”

“Hamas had claimed the body was a female Israeli soldier – but it was confirmed to be Shani by her cousin Tomasina Weintraub-Louk, who told MailOnline that the family recognized her distinctive leg tattoos and dreadlocked hair,” the Daily Mail reported.

According to The Times of Israel, the family is relieved to know that she is no longer suffering. But a funeral will not be possible, at least not with her body which has not been found.

“I’m happy. First, that this thing is over, that we know exactly what happened,” Nissim, Louk’s father, said. “Because I know where she is, she isn’t lying in some tunnel under Gaza, where every minute we are firing at them and all the earth is shaking and there is dust and it’s impossible to breathe.

“We know she is dead, we know she didn’t suffer, we also know a minute before the murderers came she was dancing, she was happy, she prayed, she went wild, with all her friends around her, and she had fun,” the distraught father stated.

“The news of Shani Louk’s death is terrible,” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz wrote on X. “Like many others, she was brutally murdered. This shows the full barbarity behind the Hamas attack — who must be held accountable.”

“This is terror, and Israel has the right to defend itself,” Scholz proclaimed according to The Times of Israel.
