BLM grift activates over George Floyd joke dropped during Kevin Hart roast

Acolytes of the spirit of the age proved once again their opposition to the First Amendment after a comedian dared blaspheme a Black Lives Matter saint during Netflix’s “The Roast of Kevin Hart.”

Selective outrage is nothing new, but this week it appeared that new depths were plumbed in response to a joke courtesy of unfiltered comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. The funnyman responsible for catalyzing one of the most viral moments of the 2024 presidential campaign managed to trigger protest when he dared joke that the deceased George Floyd could be “laughing so hard he can’t breathe.”

During the event hosted by Shane Gillis where, as is customary of a roast, celebrities did their best to insult the honoree and others, Hinchliffe’s turn included a zinger at the expense of Floyd as he said to Hart, “The black community is so proud of you, right now George Floyd is looking up at us all, laughing so hard that he can’t breathe.”

Naturally, an insult to the leftist icon — who sparked a “summer of love” that inspired the phrase “fiery but peaceful protests” and was ensconced in a golden coffin after dying in police custody in May 2020 — was considered sacrilege of the highest order for the BLM faithful.

As such, a statement from Gianna and George Floyd Foundation spokesperson Travis Cains to TMZ expressed the view that family and friends of Floyd feel Hinchcliffe is a “racist comedian” and said, “We are trying to rebuild things for our community and make things better in our community.”

“Let’s try to be a little bit more positive — and not sit up there doing colon inspections by white comedians,” added Cains.

Likewise, Nekima Levy Armstrong, who was indicted along with Don Lemon and dozens of others for storming Cities Church in Minnesota earlier this year for allegedly terrorizing congregants during a Sunday service, took part in a BLM press conference where she declared, “… again it is not a laughing matter. We are here today to call your attention to the fact that an egregious, disgusting joke was made about George Floyd.”

“Here we are, about to memorialize George Floyd for year six after his brutal murder at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department — our community is still experiencing grief and trauma. We have young people in our community who were children at the time — they are now teenagers — still dealing with the impacts of the police killing of George Floyd,” insisted Armstrong. “And instead of allowing our community to grieve in peace, to celebrate George Floyd in peace, we have Netflix comedians making light of the brutal killing of George Floyd. It is unacceptable and it is unconscionable.”

As radicals like Armstrong demanded “accountability” for the roast, it’s worth noting that Hart lauded Hinchcliffe and others for their controversial remarks, including Pete Davidson, who sparked outrage over an explicit dig at Hinchcliffe that referenced Charlie Kirk’s assassination. “Tony Hinchcliffe understood the assignment, relentless as he always is, but funny.”

Evident from the response, six years after the left made a martyr of Floyd to promote their soft-on-crime agenda of defunding the police, the secular commandment remained, “Thou shall not use the name of Saint George Floyd in vain!”
