Caitlyn Jenner has an idea for the WNBA: Draft me

Caitlyn Jenner suggested joining the 2027 WNBA draft to put their support for transgender women to the test.

Jenner joined Fox News’ Tyrus on his podcast when the pair eventually landed on Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White. The two have declared their interest in the WNBA draft after the organization couldn’t come to a consensus on what a “woman” is, at the risk of angering one side of the transgender debate or the other.

Jenner weighed in on the issue, revealing previous calls with Kanter Freedom in which it had come up.

“I see it now like with what’s going on with the WNBA and Enes Kanter, and I was laughing because this is an argument that could be ended like that,” Tyrus said, snapping his fingers. “All the WNBA had to say was, ‘You can’t play in our league because you’re a man. This is a women’s league.’ That’s it. It’s over. News cycle’s done.”

“Well, maybe they don’t want the news cycle being done,” Jenner suggested.

“It seems to get more ratings, off-the-court drama, than anyone actually watching the games,” Tyrus added.

“Well, look at Sophie Cunningham and what happened with her? The WNBA has never got so much press,” Jenner noted, as the two remarked that the “fights” taking over headlines were keeping some good, but lesser-known players, out of the spotlight.

“And I like what Enes is doing, what Freedom is doing, I get it, but I also look at it like there’s a point where I think you’ve made your point. You know, all they have to do is just be logical and you make a great thing. And he’s recently asked you if you would be- he wants a peace summit and moderate, and he’s like-” Tyrus explained.

“Yeah, I talk to Enes quite a bit,” Jenner revealed.

“And again, I think it’s, the reason why they wouldn’t do it is because it’s a simple, it’s a 30-second debate. And you have lived the truth to have the courage to live your life the way you want to be, and at the same time you’re still respecting basic, fundamental stuff. So for you to moderate it, you’re going to tell them the same thing,” Tyrus continued. “Like, we can break for lunch, fellas. This is it.”

“Enes and I have talked quite a few times, and I even told him one time, ‘Enes’ — this is a couple of weeks ago — ‘Enes, I’m like a real trans person. Maybe I should sign up for the 2027 WNBA draft,” Jenner laughed.

“I think you could average a double-double,” Tyrus chuckled.
