Disneyland employee in hot water after snatching ring from man who was proposing

An employee from the Paris Disneyland location ticked off the internet and may have risked his job when he snatched the ring out of proposing man’s hand.

The couple could be seen on the stage in perfect view of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, and what better place to woo your lover? The man dropped to one knee and asked the lady he was with to be his wife, but the romantic gesture was soon interrupted by a park employee, who ran up to the couple and snagged the ring.

Afterward, and to the confusion of guests and the couple in question, he ran down the stairs in front of the stage and gestured for the couple to follow him.

“She just said yes!” the confused man explains as they descend the stairs, pointing to someone off-screen.

“Yes, that’s great, but it’s going to be even better over here!” the employee cheerfully chirped, pointing at the ground in front of him.

The crowd who had just witnessed the awkwardness began to boo.

The man who posted the video on Reddit claims that he is friends with the guy who proposed, and says he had obtained permission to use the stage for the proposal from a different employee. Disneyland would later issue an apology for the way the employee behaved, and try to make it up to the couple whose magical moment had been forever ruined.

“We regret how this was handled,” said a Disneyland spokesperson. “We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right.”

The internet was not very happy with the employee, either:
