Don Lemon’s cringe birthday invite video earned the former CNN host plenty of mocking responses on social media.
The 59-year-old posted what many called out as a staged video of him dropping his birthday cake after exiting a store with his three dogs in tow.
Carrying the cake in one hand with no box or packaging, Lemon appears to trip and land the cake face-down on the pavement.

Lemon’s birthday party streaming event was held on Sunday, and viewers on his YouTube channel were invited to join “a special edition of Lemon Live, packed with fun, surprises, and maybe even a little birthday tea.”
The “party” antics were even more cringe than the invite.
Ahead of the birthday cake invite, Lemon, who hosted on CNN from 2014 until 2023, was recently seen in the New York City subway trying to make a TikTok video.

The painful cake flop video was blasted on X, where many compared the staged clip to his “journalistic” career.
