Former President Barack Obama ripped the universities, businesses, and law firms that have cut deals with the Trump administration to avoid punitive measures over discriminatory diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies.
Obama has been making the media rounds to air his grievances with President Donald J. Trump, a man who is methodically dismantling his foul legacy piece by piece as he seeks to restore America to greatness after the disastrous Biden administration.
During an appearance on Monday’s edition of the “WTF” podcast, the nation’s 44th president called for colleges and businesses to “take a stand” against Trump, especially when it comes to preserving DEI, the institutionalization of anti-white racism that was legitimized during his time in office but went into overdrive under Biden whose White House was chock full of Obama loyalists.

“We all have this capacity, I think, to take a stand,” he told host Marc Maron, according to The Guardian.
“This will hurt if we lose some grant money in the federal government, but that’s what endowments are for. Let’s see if we can ride this out, because what we’re not going to do is compromise our basic academic independence,” Obama said, urging academia to collectively stiffen its spine and resist.
The former president said that businesses and organizations that bowed to Trump should be able to say that “We’re not going to be bullied into saying that we can only hire people or promote people based on some criteria that’s been cooked up by Steve Miller,” referring to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller
“We think it’s important, because of what this country is, to hire people from different backgrounds,” Obama added, insisting that discriminatory hiring practices be preserved.
In July, Columbia University agreed to pay a $221 million settlement to restore funding after an investigation into anti-Semitism at the New York City-based Ivy League institution of higher learning, a hotbed of Jew hatred.
A number of law firms have also made deals with the administration, agreeing to provide pro bono legal services. Corporate America is also backing away from discriminatory practices after Trump’s executive orders targeting DEI and “woke” ideology, both of which are in full retreat, much to the dismay of Mr. Obama.
During his wide-ranging therapy session with the leftist host, Obama also slammed Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from violent left-wing mobs in Chicago, a city that was his longtime home base and the location of the Obama Presidential Library, a money-sucking eyesore.
“When you have a military that can direct force against their own people, that is inherently corrupting,” he said, suggesting that Trump was circumventing the Posse Comitatus Act, which puts limitations on a president’s use of the military on domestic soil.
“When you have what looks like a deliberate end run around not just a concept but a law that’s been around for a long time, Posse Comitatus, that says you don’t use our military on domestic soil unless there is an extraordinary emergency of some sort; that when you see an administration suggest that ordinary street crime is an insurrection or…a terrorist attack,” he claimed. “That is a genuine effort to weaken how we have understood democracy.”
“If I had sent in the National Guard into Texas and just said, ‘You know what? A lot of problems in Dallas, a lot of crime there, and I don’t care what Gov. Abbott says. I’m going to kind of take over law enforcement, because I think things are out of control,’ it is mind-boggling to me how Fox News would have responded,” he told Maron.
That Obama has been reduced to bitterly whining to friendly interviewers is just another example of how his influence is rapidly waning, as was made evident when his campaigning for Kamala Harris failed to resonate with black voters last year, helping to put Trump back into the White House.
