U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell touted a Democratic candidate in Oklahoma who essentially may have imploded her own campaign a short time later.
“Great news for our candidate @abbybroyles in OKC who is trying to win back a seat we had won in 2018!” the California Democrat tweeted earlier this month, cheering on Oklahoma 5th Congressional District candidate Abby Broyles.

But Broyles seems to have encountered a problem.
It was reported that at a party at a friend’s home attended by girls between the ages of 12 and 13, Broyles “became intoxicated and spoke derogatorily to some of the girls.”

A mother of one of the girls attending the party also called Broyles out on Twitter.
@abbybroyles Since it’s been five days and you have neglected to reach out to any of the young ladies (12 & 13 yr olds, including my daughter) you verbally and emotionally abused last weekend, I thought I would give you a chance to try to apologize (at a minimum) here. 1/4

The Democrat eventually acknowledged what happened in an interview.
