GH soap opera star refuses to even look at ‘maga Carrie’ Underwood

An ever-political soap opera star revealed the extent of her Trump Derangement Syndrome as her distaste for a guest left her tuning out an episode of late night television.

While animosity toward Republican elected officials is nothing new from the celebrity class, President Donald Trump’s career shift from businessman to president and party head managed to engender a whole different level of hatred.

So it was that even the mere occasion of sin against the spirit of the age, like Carrie Underwood’s performance at Trump’s second inauguration, proved enough to trigger TDS sufferers such as “General Hospital” actress Nancy Lee Grahn.

Underwood’s scheduled appearance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last week alongside fellow “American Idol” judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie was evidently too much for the soap star who considered herself a fan of the comedian.

“See ya next week @jimmykimmel. I refuse to even look at @carrieunderwood,” she posted to the social media platform Threads, earning prompt support from fellow Trump hater Kathy Griffin, “I’ll watch ya! Yeah, no love for maga Carrie. It’s not just about political disagreements anymore.”

In response to a report suggesting Grahn was maligning Kimmel over his guest lineup, the actress went on to clarify, “Truth matters. I LOVE Jimmy Kimmel & watch him every night. I would never ‘slam’ him. I simply said I would watch him next week because I didn’t want to look at Carrie Underwood (for obvious reasons), who was his guest that night. Come on guys, I’m not worth the silly clickbait.”

Ahead of the inauguration and the anticipated backlash, Underwood had said, “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event.”

Not even technical difficulties had been enough to keep the “American Idol” alumna from delivering a stirring rendition of “America the Beautiful” as part of the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Grahn continued to spread her apparent hatred for anyone even tangentially connected to the president as she called on leftists to take actions against corporations “complicit” in “Trump’s fascist takeover of the United States,” specifically referring to Apple CEO Tim Cook with vulgar terminology as she called federal immigration officers “terrorists committing atrocities.”

According to the actress, in response to the death of Alex Pretti, who was fatally shot after a confrontation with federal officers, “nothing short of abolishing ICE is now acceptable,” she said, directed at Democrat leaders. “Prosecuting them is next. We are pissed and keeping score.”

Of course, much like her need to clarify it was Underwood she was going after and not Kimmel, reports of Grahn’s need to virtue signal where it concerned her TV viewing habits did not land as the actress would have hoped, as social media users outside her echo chamber announced they would be tuning out or were left asking “Who?”
