Hunter Biden’s business partner ‘in hiding’ before congressional testimony

Hunter Biden’s former best friend and business partner, Devon Archer, is rumored to be in hiding before his explosive testimony scheduled for next week after reportedly receiving threats.

Archer, 49, will reportedly give bombshell testimony that is said to directly conflict with statements made not only by Hunter Biden but President Biden as well. A source told the Daily Mail that he is now “in hiding” because he received threats and was “concerned” for his and his family’s safety.

The media outlet went on to state that Archer has “been forced to flee both his Long Island and Brooklyn homes” but still fully intends to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee on Monday.

Devon Archer and Hunter Biden were partnered in numerous shady foreign business deals. Archer was subpoenaed by the committee in June to testify about them.

A source told the Daily Mail that Archer will testify concerning meetings he was present at with his and Hunter Biden’s foreign business partners. Those meetings allegedly had then-Vice President Joe Biden on a speakerphone.

“There were reports that he was canceling his appearance. They’re not true, he’s not canceling. But he has gotten threats, and he’s concerned about the threats,” the source asserted. “His family has received threats. He doesn’t know who from. But you don’t have to be Dick Tracy to figure that out.”

There is no evidence currently tying Hunter Biden, his father, or any associates to the threats.

Another source told the media outlet that Archer was not in hiding but that he had received “threats.”

“He’s not here. He’s not at our other home. He’s not in DC,” Archer’s wife Krista told the Daily Mail while refusing to say where he is.

Republicans are investigating numerous questionable business dealings that Archer and Hunter Biden were part of. Archer sat on the board of Ukrainian gas firm Burisma with the first son. He also was reportedly instrumental in helping Hunter Biden secure a multi-million-dollar real estate deal with the billionaire Moscow mayor’s widow, Elena Baturina.

He purportedly knows a great deal about Rosemont Seneca. He was the co-founder of the company which facilitated Hunter Biden’s earning millions in consulting fees in connection to alleged criminals in Romania, China, and other countries.

According to the Daily Mail’s source, Archer was chatty about Joe Biden’s alleged direct involvement in foreign business meetings while he was vice president.

“Every time they would be wooing clients, in Romania or some other place like that, Devon said, they would always set up a dinner with a round table of four or five companies they were trying to solicit business from,” the source commented.

“All of these people would be well aware of the fact that Hunter Biden is Joe Biden’s son, and that potentially he could exercise influence. But to drive the point home at the end of the dinner, Hunter Biden would take his cell phone out, put it on speaker and dial a number. And at the other end of the phone, Joe Biden would answer,” the source asserted.

The source further drove the point home that Joe Biden was directly involved in the influence peddling.

“Hunter would explain who he was having dinner with. Joe would say hello to everybody there. He would know everybody’s name. He would know their wives’ names, their children’s names,” the source continued. “He would never discuss the business deal at hand. But he made it crystal clear by virtue of the fact that he knew all this information, that Hunter had discussed those people with him.”

“Devon said that’s all you needed. These guys would be falling all over themselves trying to sign them up after that. That was their modus operandi: the cell phone call from Hunter to Joe, with Joe knowing all the people in the room,” the source claimed. “He said he did it with Romanians, with Ukrainians, it didn’t matter; whoever they were pitching for business.”

Devon Archer is expected to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee on Monday in DC according to the Daily Mail. The media outlet says that he plans to testify that Hunter used the speakerphone call tactic at least two dozen times, according to a New York Post report.

Archer has nothing to lose at this point. He has already been convicted for being part of planning to defraud a Native American tribe using a complex bond scheme. He will soon serve a year in prison over it. He is liable with his co-conspirators for $43.4 million in restitution concerning the fraud. His good friend Hunter Biden refused to show up in court to testify for him. The first son was not charged in the scheme.

During that trial, their friendship went south. Before Archer went to court in 2018, he texted Hunter Biden, “Are you coming back east for my trial at all? It would be important and love to see you if you can.”

Hunter Biden’s reply reportedly was simply, “No.”

“Why did your dad’s administration appointees arrest me and try to put me in jail? Just curious. Some of our partners asking out here,” Archer wrote in a 2019 text. “Why would they try to ruin my family and destroy my kids and no one from your family’s side step in and at least try to help me? I don’t get it. And I’m depressed. Bunch of these [Asian partners] getting in my head asking me the same so just curious what I should answer.”

“Every president’s family is held to a higher standard [and] a target,” Hunter Biden responded. “It’s the price of being the most powerful group of people in the world. It’s why our democracy remains viable. It’s unfair at times but in the end, the system of justice usually works and like you we are redeemed and the truth prevails. The unfairness to us allows for the greater good.”

Archer’s attorney noted that he has already testified to a federal grand jury about his business dealings with the Biden family.

“Devon Archer believes strongly in the rule of law and the democratic system, and is prepared to answer the Committee’s questions just as he has already answered similar questions from a federal grand jury, the Department of Justice, and several other government agencies in their investigations concerning the Biden family,” attorney Matthew Schwartz of Boies Schiller Flexner remarked.

“There have been many leaks and much speculation about Mr. Archer’s potential statement to the Oversight Committee, but next week, Mr. Archer will get to speak for himself,” he added.
