In classy move Trump, invites guests from cancelled Iowa rally to Mar-a-Lago, plays DJ ‘until midnight’

There was much disappointment when inclement weather forced the cancellation of a weekend rally by former President Donald J. Trump in the key battleground state of Iowa, but in a classy gesture, the 2024 GOP frontrunner invited two very special guests back to Mar-a-Lago for lunch, dinner, and a party during which he played disc jockey until almost midnight.

Riding high after he took a flamethrower to CNN in last Wednesday’s town hall that the cable network may never recover from, Trump was set to take his show on the road to the Hawkeye State until a Saturday tornado warning led to the scuttling of the planned rally at Water Works Park in Des Moines, an event that he was to be joined at by the great conservative social media influencers ALX and DC Draino whom he had invited to travel with him.

On Saturday afternoon, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to announce the bad news, writing “Unfortunately, due to Tornado Warnings in Des Moines, we are forced to cancel today’s outdoor rally at the Lauridsen Amphitheater. Stay tuned, we will reschedule soon. Be safe out there!”

Following the calling off of the trip, the gracious Trump once again showed that he has few equals when it comes to being a class act, inviting his guests to Mar-a-Lago for a lunch that stretched on late into the night with ALX, a formidable force on Twitter whose prolific postings keep his 481.9K followers up to date with breaking news and incisive commentary, providing the details of his day with the patriotic ex-POTUS.

“Yesterday, I was invited to attend Donald Trump’s Iowa Rally aboard Trump Force One with @DC_Draino & some others. Unfortunately due to weather, the rally was cancelled — but 45 had a backup plan. He invited us all back to Mar-a-Lago for lunch. (I was underdressed but Trump said I looked “GREAT”). We talked for 3 hours about everything from the CNN town hall to World War III,” he tweeted on Sunday. “45 then invited us to stay for dinner and he DJ’ed until midnight.”

Asked by a user about Trump’s musical choices, ALX responded that Trump’s playlist included “Elvis, Phantom of the Opera, Sinatra, Jesus Christ Superstar, Guns N Roses & more,” a wide range of artists and genres.

As far as the menu, ALX reported that lunch was burgers and wings, dinner was filet mignon and ice cream was dessert.

ALX told the conservative website The Gateway Pundit, which reached out to him, that “Trump used his iPad that controls music and played songs out on the patio.”

Also posting about the day’s events after the rally was postponed was DC Draino who posted a picture of himself with the patriotic former – and perhaps future – president with more details of the very special experience.

“Today I was supposed to fly out with Trump to Iowa on Trump Force 1, but the rally was cancelled due to Tornado warnings in the area. So instead he invited us all back to Mar a Lago where we had chicken wings, pigs in a blanket, a burger, and more diet cokes than I can count,” he tweeted.

“We talked about everything and he confirmed he will be BACK to Iowa soon, likely in the next week or 2,” the popular influencer added. “He’s sharp, hilarious, and said he believes we can do more to change America than ever before once he’s back.”

The rescheduled date for the Iowa rally has yet to be announced by Team Trump.
