Israel-hating miscreants shut down bridges, snarl traffic in national ceasefire temper tantrum

Anti-Israel misfits took to the streets on Monday, shutting down traffic in several locations including the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to demand a ceasefire in Gaza.

In one of the preferred tactics for the political left, activists engaged in their attention-grabbing stunts with no regard for the commuters who were inconvenienced, having to be delayed from their daily business – including getting to work – to accommodate pro-Hamas miscreants throwing a national temper tantrum.

Locations for the traffic-snarling protests to promote their bigoted agenda included New York City, Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, and the iconic California bridge where traffic was shut down for nearly five hours.

At around 7:30 a.m. during the morning rush hour, dozens of leftists stopped their cars and blocked all traffic on the southbound lanes of the Golden Gate Bridge span, blocking traffic on Highway 101. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) also closed the northbound lanes, creating a major mess for commuters trying to enter the City by the Bay.

“A lot of the money that is going from individuals who are working really hard, we don’t want that money going to Israel anymore,” a spokesperson for the protesters, Riley Hugo, said, according to NBC Bay Area. Police made multiple arrests and the bridge was later reopened.

In New York City, leftist Hamas tools targeted another piece of critical transportation infrastructure, disrupting traffic on the Manhattan-bound side of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The protests which had earlier taken place outside the New York Stock Exchange moved to the bridge later in the afternoon, with some chanting “Death to America,” according to a New York Post report. Police would make at least two dozen arrests.

Video posted to social media showed one leftist waving a Hezbollah flag, showing that support for Islamist fanatics runs much deeper than for Hamas in Gaza.

Fox News reported that protesters chanted: “Free, free Palestine” – “Palestine will never die” – “from Wall Street to Palestine… intifada” – “Israel bombs. USA pays. How many kids did you kill today?”

In Chicago, access to one of the nation’s busiest airports was blocked when troublemakers obstructed all lanes of westbound Interstate 190 at the entrance to O’Hare International Airport.

“Enough is enough. The U.S. government has given us no choice but to disrupt business as usual,” one protester named Simone Tucker said, according to ABC 7 News. Police made dozens of arrests with access to the airport eventually being restored.

The antics of the protesters were strongly criticized, including by Senator Tom Cotton (R-AK) who during a Monday Fox News appearance suggested that the time has come for Americans to take matters into their own hands.

“Well, I feel very deeply for all those people who are trying to get to work or trying to pick up a kid,” the senator told “America Reports” anchor Sandra Smith. “Very worried about the diversion of police resources where it needs to be stopping crime in cities like San Francisco, where firefighters are having to go there when they might have calls for fires out.”

“If something like this happened in Arkansas on a bridge there. Let’s just say I think there’d be a lot of very wet criminals that have been tossed overboard, not by law enforcement, but by the people whose road they’re blocking,” Cotton said. “If they glued their hands to a car or the pavement. Well, probably pretty painful to have their skin ripped off, but I think that’s the way we’d handle it in Arkansas.”

“And I would encourage most people anywhere that get stuck behind criminals like this, who are trying to block traffic to take matters in their own hands. There’s only usually a few of them, and there’s a lot of people being inconvenienced. It’s time to put an end to this nonsense,” he said, later adding “I think it’s time for private citizens who are the ones being inconvenienced here when they’re confronted with these protesters just to solve matters on their own before the police even show up.”

“Look, most of these people could be easily removed from the streets. And you’ve seen videos, probably on the internet, of that being done in certain places. Those are always the most popular people on the scene, or the private citizens who took matters into their own hands,” he told Smith.

“It has to end now, and we can absolutely not tolerate this kind of criminal activity. If you want to march around on a sidewalk or in a public park and wave a flag in support of terrorist groups, that’s one thing.  But to block the flow of traffic on major highways, that is a crime and it has to be stopped immediately,” Cotton concluded.
