The Biden administration is under fire after news that First Lady Jill Biden will be hosting celebrities at a White House party for the 25th anniversary of “The West Wing.”
The series, which first aired in 1999 and ran for seven seasons, turns 25 and evidently, that is a milestone the administration feels must be celebrated, at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. The reunion of the cast of “The West Wing” will take place on Friday and will “celebrate the role of storytelling in inspiring Americans to pursue a career in public service,” according to the White House.

But the priorities of the administration riled up social media users who ripped into the Bidens for disrespecting Gold Star families while throwing a bash to celebrate Hollywood liberals.
White House still hasn’t called the Gold Star families. https://t.co/RfkeRsJgJj

@FLOTUS The West Wing? They didn’t attend the wreath laying ceremony marking the 3rd anniversary of the 13 service members lost in Afghanistan in @JoeBiden disastrous withdrawal but they are but they attending the anniversary of The West Wing? Priorities.

Ridiculous. Pathetic.
And Gold Star families are STILL waiting for a phone call.
Disgraceful.

Other X users mocked Dr. Jill Biden for finding her “purpose.”
Is this the best use of her doctorate?

Is that where she’s been hiding, binging the show?

Who? She went from Vogue to vague after one debate.

It seems many did not hold Aaron Sorkin’s “The West Wing” as worthy of a White House honor.
I’m not sure any single cultural artifact has done more to destroy our politics than that show. https://t.co/nwH9etznUS

That show was NBC’s fantasy tale of what they wanted the Clinton Administration to be like.

The best line I ever heard about this show was from my brother after hearing YET ANOTHER sanctimonious speech . . . “It’s always a busload of nuns with these people, isn’t it?” Indeed.
