MSNBC’s consummate race-baiter Joy Reid was further taken to task Monday after her mischaracterization of black children attending a Florida bill signing, referring to their attendance as “child abuse,” led one former NFL star to draw a line in the sand declaring, “Joy Reid messed with the wrong boys.”
Jack Brewer is an athlete turned philanthropist who formerly played for the Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Arizona Cardinals. His organization, The Jack Brewer Foundation, has also led to the founding of faith-based programs like The Serving Institute and The Heroes program.
So, when Reid tweeted Friday that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) was “anti-Black” and then later updated her post Saturday that “America’s most racist governor” had used black boys as “props” and that “they may not have known in advance why they were there,” Brewer took it personally and told Fox News Digital that he retained legal counsel that he plans to use if he doesn’t get an apology.
Update: heard from a Florida source today that these Black boys who America’s most racist governor used as props came from a Miami charter school (I won’t name the school to spare them from MAGA harassment/threats) & that they may not have known in advance why they were there. https://t.co/9aOCOkLOpM

“Joy Reid messed with the wrong boys,” Brewer told Fox News Digital Monday before later setting the record straight on their attendance at the signing of a bill seeking to end Critical Race Theory in Florida schools. “It was explained to them on the bus … It was explained to them while they were there. Yeah, my kids don’t identify with CRT because we don’t believe in it. We believe in loving everybody and not separating people by their skin color. That’s what we teach. Our program teaches to love this country. To love God first. To love their neighbor as themselves.”
“We are a faith-based program,” he explained in the interview, “where we stand firm on the word of God. For people to be questioned … this is just a tragedy, and this is a problem with Black America. This is the problem with underserved communities right here. Joy Reid is the example of the crisis going on in Black America.”
The former NFL player has been previously outspoken on the racial division in America stoked by the likes of Reid and the promotion of Marxist Black Lives Matter philosophies which the lifelong Democrat decried during the 2020 Republican National Convention where he endorsed the reelection campaign of former President Donald Trump.
“The biggest concern that we both have is just for the safety and protection of my kids and our program,” Brewer added in his conversation with Fox News. “We’ve received several phone calls from parents and different people who are obviously getting calls and harassed by folks in regards to this crazy thing that Joy did.”
Jane Halbritter, an aunt of one of the boys featured in the photo Reid shared, also spoke with Fox News Digital and said, “I just think it’s pretty outrageous that Joy Reid’s thought process is that people can’t have independent thinking about matters like CRT.”
She noted her nephews are “very articulate on [CRT] and are just very, very upset and hurt by what [Reid] said. I wished [Reid] had asked them about it, because they do know what CRT is and why we oppose it. I wouldn’t send them blindly into any sort of thing like that.”
Evidently, Reid has no interest in honestly discussing these topics as, in addition to Fox News reaching out for comment, publicist Jillian Anderson has not garnered a response from MSNBC relating to Reid’s accusations.
Hey @JoyAnnReid I reached out to your producer, let me know if you want to talk to the guy responsible for sending those "props" to the anti-CRT press conference with @GovRonDeSantis . We would love the opportunity to have a conversation about these false accusations. https://t.co/9a3dKkCg6B

DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw, who had previously clarified that her team had also fully explained the significance of the event to the children beforehand and that the children were excited about their participation, further pressured Reid over her silence on issuing a genuine correction or sincere apology.
Are you or your team planning to respond to this, Joy? https://t.co/nTZdt64D6K
