Mamdani’s wife mourns death of Palestinian influencer who cheered Oct. 7th attack

The wife of New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani shared her broken heart over the death of a Palestinian influencer who celebrated the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel.

Rama Duwaji reacted to the news that Saleh al-Jafarawi was killed by posting an Instagram story that featured his photo along with four broken heart emojis.

According to The Times of Israel, al-Jafarawi was “killed Sunday during armed clashes between Hamas and Palestinian militias in Gaza City.”

“Footage circulating online showed his body,” the outlet added. “According to the reports, Jafarawi was killed by the militias while covering the incident.”

“Controversial Gaza activist, derogatorily called ‘Mr. FAFO’ due to his performative antics and well known for his support of Hamas and raising an estimated $10 million to build a children’s hospital, only to pocket the money, Saleh Al-Jafarawi, was killed today by unknown assailants,” anti-Hamas activist Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib wrote.

The social media influencer was given the nickname “Mr. FAFO” (which stands for “f*ck around and find out.”) He gained attention for a celebratory video of himself on October 7, 2023, as he praised Hamas’s massacre of Israelis.

Mamdani’s wife was among those eulogizing the “beloved” Jafarawi in her Instagram story.
