Pennsylvania House votes to impeach criminal-coddling Philly DA Larry Krasner

The state of Pennsylvania’s Republican-led House of Representatives has moved to strike a major blow against crime by voting to impeach far-left Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a man who has done much to contribute to the violence and drug abuse that has turned the “City of Brotherly Love” into a national embarrassment.

The George Soros-backed Krasner has been under heavy fire for the deterioration of what was once one of America’s greatest and most historic cities but is now a crime-ridden hellhole with a drug problem so severe that the government of Mexico just featured footage from Philly in a hard-hitting anti-drug ad to scare young people away from becoming addicts.

The House vote – which took place on Wednesday – was 107 – 85 and largely broke down along party lines with Republicans approving Krasner’s ouster after a spirited debate with his crime-loving Democrat defenders.

The articles of impeachment which the Judiciary Committee voted to advance on Tuesday in House Resolution No. 240, accuse Krasner of  “misbehavior in office” as well as the obstruction of a legislative committee investigation of his office

“His lack of proper leadership serves as a direct and proximate cause of the crisis currently facing the city of Philadelphia,” states the House resolution that calls for his impeachment.

“This man has denied that there is even a crisis of crime happening on our streets,” Republican Rep. Martina White of Philadelphia, the lead sponsor of the resolution to impeach, said to members before the vote.

“His dereliction of duty and despicable behavior is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated,” she said, according to the Wall Street Journal. “The legislature has a duty and the only authority to act when a public official refuses to perform their duties and puts the public in danger.”

Rep. White also appeared on Fox News to discuss the House vote to impeach Krasner.

Krasner reacted to the vote in the typical Democrat manner by making it all about race and the mythical systemic oppression of black and brown people.

“Philadelphians’ votes, and Philadelphia voters, should not be erased. History will harshly judge this anti-democratic authoritarian effort to erase Philly’s votes – votes by Black, brown, and broke people in Philadelphia. And voters will have the last word,” the criminal coddling DA wrote on Twitter.

The embattled district attorney also issued a lengthy statement condemning efforts to hold him accountable. “In the hundreds of years the Commonwealth has existed, this is the only time the House has used the drastic remedy of impeachment of an elected official because they do not like their ideas.”

“Those ideas are precisely why Philadelphia voters elected and re-elected me to serve as the Philly DA – in two landslides. These ideas include doing more and doing better for victims and survivors, solving crime through modern scientific enforcement, and investing deeply in the prevention of violence. And they are why elected officials who do not live or vote in Philadelphia are trying so hard to erase the votes of Philadelphians: because they preferred the status quo,” the statement reads. “They have impeached me without presenting a single shred of evidence connecting our policies to any uptick in crime. We were never given the opportunity to defend our ideas and policies – policies I would have been proud to explain. That Pennsylvania Republicans willfully avoided hearing the facts about my office is shameful.”

“Each Philadelphia voter is not just 3/5ths of a voter. Philadelphia is not Pennsylvania’s colony. Philadelphians get taxation AND representation. Philadelphians’ votes, and Philadelphia voters, should not be erased,” he raged.

Krasner’s fate now rests with the Pennsylvania State Senate.
