Professor says exposing children to adult genitalia will prepare them for seeing naked trans people in locker rooms

A University of British Columbia professor shared what she believes is an “excellent” parental response to swimmer Riley Gaines’s objection to having to change in front of trans competitor Lia Thomas in the women’s locker room: Just start exposing “little children” to adult genitalia and “normalize” seeing biological men naked in spaces that should be reserved for females.

Journalism professor Dr. Katja Thieme made the shocking suggestion on X in response to a posted video of Gaines explaining the devastating effect of allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports.


“Hey, want to know one of my all time excellent parenting ideas?” Thieme asked her followers. “Let. Little. Children. See. Penises. And. Vulvas. Of. Various. Ages. And. Sizes. In. A. Casual. Normalized. Totally. Safe. Way.”

“The world will thank you for it,” Thieme promised. “And so will those children when they grow up.”

The remarks caused such a backlash, Thieme has since opted to protect her posts.


But her lengthy thread, written last month, continued, according to the Daily Mail.

The professor went on to take a swipe at Gaines, calling the women’s advocate “whiny.”

“Gaines gets tearful about the emotional effect it had on her that Thomas was holding the trophy which she had also won,” Thieme’s reportedly posted. “That’s just whiny. What a sore not-even-loser.”

Reports the Daily Mail:

The professor also claimed that incidents involving women who are uncomfortable after encountering biological males in locker rooms fuel ‘anti-trans activism’.

Her thread continued: ‘Teenage girl on the swim team sees or claims to have seen a trans person in the nude in the women’s changeroom. Her anti-trans parent or parents kick into high gear.;

‘They lean on coaches: Tell trans folk to change elsewhere. Coach says, no, we can’t, that’s discriminatory.

‘They lean on the club admin: Send a warning message to all members that trans folk are using these facilities. Admin says, hell no, that’s crazy and would be very wrong.

‘They contact Riley Gaines or other transphobes of their choice, they organize protests, events, meetings, hearings, and whatnot.’

 

According to the popular X account, Gays Against Groomers, Thieme’s rant is proof that “We are in hell. This is hell.”

The sentiment was repeatedly echoed.

“This is simply sexualizing children at an age when they aren’t yet able to understand these things,” stated one X user. “It’s immoral, perverted and creepy AF. Get some help ‘Dr’.”
