Roseanne tells Bill Maher there’s ‘nothing democratic’ about the Democratic Party

Roseanne Barr sat down with liberal Bill Maher, and it went exactly how you would think.

The pair joined forces to discuss a variety of topics, including social and political issues such as “generational entitlement,” Biblical math and philosophy, and the future of the Democratic Party. While there were a great many things they agreed on, one moment stood out as they clashed on what to call the party.

Watch:

“Do you think the Democrat Party can be fixed, at this point?” Barr asked, accidentally striking a nerve with Maher.

“Democratic,” he said.

“Well, Democrat,” Barr insisted.

“Okay, that’s like, why a pointless slur like that?” he asked.

“It’s not a slur, they’re the Democrat Party,” Barr responded, visibly confused.

“It’s the Democratic Party. It’s like this dig that conservatives think they’re getting in, that’s like – What a sick burn,” Maher mocked.

“I don’t look at it as a dig, everybody always says Democrat,” the host explained. “They’re anything but f**king democratic, let’s start there. So I’m not gonna say democratic.”

“Okay, so there, so just what I’m saying,” Maher retorted.

“Because a f**king corporation is anything but democratic,” she continued. “You lose your job-”

“As if Republicans are, that’s hysterical,” he shot back.

“But Republicans are about a republic, which we do have,” Barr pointed out.
