‘So don’t get it twisted!’ Feisty Trump lawyer speaks out after defamation trial

Former President Donald J. Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba spoke out after the conclusion of the travesty in a New York City courtroom that ended with a jury awarding columnist E. Jean Carroll a mind-blowing $83 million in damages in her defamation lawsuit.

In a kangaroo court trial that underscores the perversion of the American justice system which has been weaponized by the Democrats and their stooges, the GOP frontrunner was not allowed to defend himself with the Clinton-appointed judge not allowing evidence that would provide insight into the columnist’s character and at one point, threatened to toss Habba into jail for defending her client.

On Friday, when the gavel had dropped for the final time after the obscene monetary award to Carroll that was perfectly timed for the evening news cycle, the fiery attorney spoke to the press outside of the Manhattan courthouse.

“No, I’m not having any second thoughts about representing President Trump,” she said. “It is the proudest thing I could ever do.”

“I have sat on trial after trial for months in this state,” Habba added, blasting the one-sided judicial system.

“The state of New York. Attorney General Letitia James, and now this…Why? Because President Trump is leading in the polls and now we see what you get in New York,” she said, pointing out how badly the deck is stacked against her client in the Democrat-controlled state.

“So don’t get it twisted, whoever asked me that question, I’m so proud to stand with President Trump. But I am not proud to stand with what I saw in that courtroom,” Habba said.

“And that is why I stand with Trump,” she added. “That is why so many Americans are so proud that he is running again, and so excited to run to the ballot box. But, don’t get it twisted. We are seeing a violation of the justice system. Ladies and gentlemen, you are not allowed to be stripped of every defense you have.”

The former president, who walked out of court before the closing arguments had been completed, vowed to appeal.

“Absolutely ridiculous! I fully disagree with both verdicts, and will be appealing this whole Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party. Our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon. They have taken away all First Amendment Rights. THIS IS NOT AMERICA!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“There is no longer Justice in America. Our Judicial System is Broken and Unfair!” Trump added, speaking from experience.

“We asked for one Trial, on the E. Jean Carroll False Accusation Case, but the Judge wouldn’t give it to us, he made us have two Trials on the same Hoax, and then, on the second Trial, they were allowed to use whatever information they wanted from the first, but we weren’t allowed to use anything! As an example, the Depositions they’re using on the second Trial were taken in the first,” the former president wrote on Truth Social on Friday morning,

“He wouldn’t allow us to use the totally exonerating Anderson Cooper/CNN Interview on either trial, but none of it in the second. Our Legal System is in shambles! This is another Biden Demanded Witch Hunt against his Political Opponent, funded and managed by Radical Left Democrats. The Courts are totally stacked against me, have never been used against a Political Opponent, like this, but in the end, we will win it all, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump added.

“Today’s verdict proves that the law applies to everyone in our country, even the rich, even the famous, even former presidents,” Carroll’s lawyer Roberta Kaplan said in a statement.

“There is a way to stand up to someone like Donald Trump, who cares more about wealth, fame and power than respecting the law,” she added. “Standing up to a bully takes courage and bravery; it takes someone like E. Jean Carroll. We thank the jury for standing up for E. Jean and the rule of law.”
