‘Thank you Biden!’ Video of migrants claiming to be Russians brings news fears to border crisis

Amid the chaos at the U.S. southern border as migrants continue to illegally cross into the country, it seems the national origin of many groups is a mixed bag.

Investigative reporter Drew Hernandez has been documenting the influx and posting visual images, from photos and videos to descriptions and numbers, on social media where he recently noted the “invasion” of hundreds of illegal immigrants coming across the Yuma, Arizona border.

In one eyebrow-raising video, Hernandez, who is a Turning Point USA contributor, shared a video of what he reported was a group of migrants illegally crossing the southern border who were from Russia.

“A group of illegal Russians that just crossed the Border here in Yuma AZ thank President Biden for entry,” he tweeted along with the video clip.

Many nodded as they seemed to confirm they were from Russia. One man reacted with a fist pump and could be heard saying, “Thank you, Biden!”

Among the reactions to the video clip were Twitter users who doubted its authenticity and many others who wondered how Russian citizens made it to the Arizona border.

Hernandez shared videos of what was purportedly the scene at the border in Yuma, with migrants – many of them men – seen boarding buses and waiting along the border wall.

“The symbolism is astonishing,” he wrote in another tweet noting how the illegal migrants “walk on a sign that says ‘No Trespassing’ as they trespass into the USA.”

The video journalist tweeted that about 800 people illegally crossed into the U.S. in the overnight hours as he documented.
