Tucker to sit down for one-on-one with disgraced ex-CNN host Chris Cuomo

Since his ouster at Fox News, Tucker Carlson has established a pattern of sitting down with a broad spectrum of people, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, and he can now add former CNN host Chris Cuomo to the list.

According to various reports, Cuomo traveled to Florida for a one-on-one discussion that will air on Monday, March 11 at 8 p.m. on NewsNation, where Cuomo now plies his trade. It will be Carlson’s first appearance on cable news — interestingly, he remains under contract with Fox News, according to Variety.

Cuomo was fired from CNN in December 2021 amid the fallout over revelations he had advised his brother, then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo respond to sexual harassment allegations.

The exchange should be interesting, considering Cuomo and Carlson frequently attacked each other with derision and mockery on their former shows — Carlson ridiculed his rival unmercifully during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sit-down is expected to be wide-ranging and will reportedly include Carlson’s recent interview with Putin, his ouster at Fox News, and the January 6, 2021 protest at the U.S. Capitol.

On his NewsNation show, Cuomo panned the Putin interview as a play for attention.

“Tucker Carlson is getting exactly what he wants: attention,” Cuomo said, adding, “I think his work is demonstrable as not being just about giving people information, he has a point of view. And often it’s not aligned with the facts.”
