Tulsi drops the hammer, refers suspected leakers to DOJ for prosecution

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has referred two “Deep State criminals” to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution over alleged leaks to the media, with another on the way.

In a move that shows how serious the Trump administration is when it comes to the disloyal snitches who feed the fake news machine, Gabbard announced the referrals in a Wednesday statement posted to X.

“Politicization of our intelligence and leaking classified information puts our nation’s security at risk and must end. Those who leak classified information will be found and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” she said.

“Today, I referred two intelligence community LEAKS to the Department of Justice for criminal referral, with a third criminal referral on its way, which includes the recent illegal leak to the Washington Post,” the DNI continued. “These deep-state criminals leaked classified information for partisan political purposes to undermine POTUS’ agenda.”

Gabbard also said that she looked forward to working with the DOJ and FBI “to investigate, terminate, and prosecute these criminals.”

Perhaps even more importantly than punishing those who have already leaked, the referrals send a message to others that there’s a new sheriff in town.

“We are aggressively investigating other leaks and will pursue further criminal referrals as warranted,” an ODNI official told Fox News Digital. “Any intelligence community bureaucrat who is considering leaking to the media should take this as a warning.”

The unnamed individual added that the Trump administration “will identify leakers and leakers will face legal consequences.”

Gabbard recently blasted an anonymously sourced media report on a classified National Intelligence Council assessment that claimed there was no finding that violent foreign gang Tren de Aragua coordinated with the government of Venezuela, a story that undermined the administration’s policies at a time when Democrats and their judges are seeking to prevent President Donald J. Trump from deporting criminal illegal alien gangs to El Salvador.

“The weaponization of intelligence to undermine the President’s agenda is an assault on democracy. Those behind this illegal leak of classified intelligence, twisted and manipulated to convey the exact opposite finding, will be held accountable under the full force of the law,” she wrote in an April 21 post to X.

“Rooting out this politicization of intelligence is exactly what President Trump campaigned on and what Americans overwhelmingly voted for. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence fully supports the assessment that the foreign terrorist organization, Tren De Aragua, is acting with the support of the Maduro Regime, and thus subject to arrest, detention, and removal as alien enemies of the United States,” Gabbard said.

Earlier this month, the DNI established a new task force to restore public trust in the intelligence community and end the weaponization of government against Americans.

“President Trump promised the American people maximum transparency and accountability. We are committed to executing the President’s vision and focusing the Intelligence Community on its core mission: ensuring our security by providing the President and policymakers with timely, apolitical, objective, relevant intelligence to inform their decision-making to ensure the safety, security, and freedom of the American people,” Gabbard said.
