War Room correspondent Natalie Winters struck back at the Daily Mail on Wednesday after the British tabloid outlet smeared her with several lies, including the claim that she dresses like a Hooters hostess.
The smears came in a report about CNN correspondent Donie O’Sullivan’s recent interview with her. The Daily Mail claimed that Winters was “stunned” after O’Sullivan asked her if she was a journalist. That was a lie. If anything, O’Sullivan was stunned.

That was lie number one.
According to Mediaite, lie number two was hidden in the caption of a photo published by the Daily Mail of Winters standing outside the White House wearing a shirt, sweater, and skirt.
“They say dress for the job you want,” the photo’s since-rewritten caption read. “Apparently, freshly-minted White House Correspondent Natalie Winters wants to be a hostess at Hooters.”
That was lie number two.
Lie number three was Daily Mail reporter Alex Hammer’s characterization of Winters as “a woman known for wearing provocative outfits to press briefings.”
Winters responded to the report Wednesday afternoon with the following pithy but clear reply, quickly debunking Hammer’s narratives:
1. Was not stunned
2. Destroyed him with my answer
3. Am not “famed” for skimpy outfits https://t.co/5BoC6Y9OmA

Meanwhile, her fans rushed to bash the outlet on her behalf.
“Typical gaslighting for clicks,” one fan wrote. “I watched the interview. The only person who was stunned was the CNN doofus. @nataliegwinters
was poised, articulate, well dressed and called out soi boi CNN dork when he was the one stunned.”

Liar. She was in no way “stunned”.

She decapitated his fat, dumb ass. He considers himself a journalist? More like a joker with a press pass he found on the street.

What a stupid question She wasn’t stunned whatsoever…..but she is stunning and does her job well. End of story.

You wonder why people are skeptical of your reporting, yet you still write tripe like this. Are you incapable of buying a clue? Perhaps you should listen to all the free ones being given to you.

lol, she doesn’t looked stunned in the least in the clip. Looks like she had a great time verbally castrating that uppity dweeb employee you call “a journalist”
And I had a great time watching her do it.— Linda Mc Covfefe (@LindaMcCorkle) April 24, 2025

During Winters’ CNN interview, she also slammed the regular White House Press Corps for being Democrat Party propagandists.
“I’m pretty sure the group of people in there spent, what was it, four years covering for someone who was essentially dead, and that’s being charitable in my description,” she said while pointing toward the White House.
“That’s a President by the name of Joe Biden. So to all those people who are apoplectic over having new media voices, you guys failed — and that’s why we’re here,” she added.

CNN: “Are you a real journalist?”

This isn’t the first time the Daily Mail has complained about Winters’ unorthodox choice in clothing.
Fox News contributor Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery has written several Daily Mail pieces this year alone about this topic.
In a column published in late January, she accused Winters of “posing like a facetuned Barbie in a thigh-flashing skirt on the White House front lawn.”
“For those hungry for more, you’ll find countless other thirst-inducing snaps on her social media along with a video (I kid you not) of Winters jumping on a trampoline in a teeny-tiny tennis skirt,” Kennedy added. “If my 19-year-old had an Instagram reel like yours, I’d be asking myself how I failed her.”
Winters responded to the attack from Kennedy and others in the press at the time with scathing words of condemnation.
“Since they can’t censor us anymore, they’re trying to discredit this show by attacking my clothes,” she said. “So have fun covering my wardrobe choices for the next four years. I’ll be in the briefing room hosting one of the most influential podcasts in history.”
