White House seeks Jeffries apology for ‘disgusting threat’ about fighting Trump ‘in the streets’

Leftists aren’t dialing down their incendiary rhetoric one bit despite two assassination attempts on President Donald J. Trump and the top House Democrat called for the party’s shock troops to oppose the new administration “in the streets.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) urged the party’s angry mobs to fight Trump’s agenda despite his overwhelming election victory, urging Democrats to resist during a Friday press conference where he was accompanied by fellow Gotham radical Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY), chairwoman of the racially exclusionary Congressional Black Caucus.

His remarks came after he was asked about New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ refusal to join his party’s war on Trump and whether Hizzoner is a “good fit” to continue to run the Big Apple. Jeffries deflected and uncorked a rant about Trump’s support of lower taxes, the Democrats’ latest talking point to whip up faux outrage.

“Right now, we’re going to keep focused on the need to look out for everyday New Yorkers and everyday Americans who are under assault by an extreme MAGA Republican agenda that is trying to cut taxes for billionaires, donors, and wealthy corporations and then stick New Yorkers and working-class Americans across the country with the bill,” he said.”That’s not acceptable. We are going to fight it legislatively. We are going to fight it in the courts. We’re going to fight it in the streets.”

Jeffries’ call for mob violence drew a swift rebuke from the Trump White House which demanded an apology from the congressman for his inciteful language.

“Will Minority Leader Jeffries apologize for this disgusting threat? Or will he double down on the same calls for violence that have plagued the country for years?” the White House asked in a statement posted by the new Rapid Response 47 X account that was set up to rebut media hoaxes and Democrat lies.

“While President Trump remains focused on uniting our country and delivering the mandate set by the American people, the House Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries, incites violence calling for people to fight ‘in the streets’ against President Trump’s agenda,” Kush Desai, the White House deputy press secretary told Fox News Digital.

“This unhinged violent rhetoric is dangerous. Leader Jeffries should immediately apologize,” he added.

Other Republicans also blasted the irresponsible rhetoric of a man who some have dubbed “Dollar Store Obama” for being a cheap imitation of the former president.

“Hakeem Jeffries just gave the dog whistle to the violent ground troops of the always radical communist left,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) wrote on X. “Remember last time when Democrats did this? We had 4 years of violence and insanity. Apologize Hakeem Jeffries.”

“House Minority Leader @hakeemjeffries should promptly apologize for his use of inflammatory and extreme rhetoric,” wrote House Majority Whip Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.). “President Trump and the Republicans are focused on uniting the country; Jeffries needs to stop trying to divide it.”

“The notion that Leader Jeffries supports violence is laughable. Republicans are the party that pardons violent felons who assault police officers. Democrats are the party of John Lewis and the right to petition the government peacefully,” Jeffies’ spox Christie Stephenson told Fox News Digital, referring to the deceased Democrat congressman as a moral cloak for her boss’s reprehensible incitement.

The minority leader also called for street action during an “emergency” virtual meeting with the caucus this week after Trump dealt a blow to the party’s activist NGO network with a spending freeze on federal grants.

“Leader Jeffries described it as a legal fight, a legislative fight and a street fight. And I couldn’t put it better,” said Rep. Jared Huffman (D-Calif.) of Jeffries’ dog whistling.
